So how does compensation work ?

For instance, I failed one subject in my first semester this year.
Since the results are coming out tomorrow and I am very confident I passed every one. I am particularly sure I got an A for a project I did.

Anyway, since I am hoping that I will have just one fail for the whole year, will I possibly be compensated for this fail ?

Or will I have to repeat the failed exam again in August ?

    Thanks in advance.

If you get a D you can compensate it with another grade. If you get less than that you have to repeat the subject usually.
