Lol For every exam at the end i calculated the answers i knew i got corrected and all the results were above 85%, this wasn't the case for English and Irish but i after looking over the exam and the marking scheme I feel that I have gotten at least 90% for both, especially Irish considering that this year was probably the easiest out of any year. Also for English my studied section was perfect.

Wow, fair play. I hope you get it, you deserve it, good luck. Even if you got lower than that, it would still be amazing. Well done.

My older bro did well on his JC and gave me a lot of advice, I've been a good student for the last 3 years(not perfect but close), when it came down to studying I began on day 3 of coming back to school, i studied the subjects i found difficult and after mocks I just kept practicing exam papers.

    Early September.

Thanks heard 12 and 17 but not sure which, just trying to plan something!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 390 ✭✭A97

I thought that they came out on a Wednesday. Wouldn't that suggest the 11th? It's usually the second Wednesday of September.

So did I but my son said 17 and friend said 12!

I don't think that it has been officially confirmed yet, but that's the usual date so you'll have to wait for that absolute confirmation.

English (H)= C at most, I did a kickass essay, but I messed up the poetry
Irish (H)= C. Could of done better, but my Irish teacher didn't give me any of the material I needed till a week before the exams.
    Geography (H)= A
    Maths (H)= B
    C.S.P.E= A
    Business Studies (H)= A
    French (H)= C
    History (H)= A/B
    Science (H)= B
    Materials Technology Wood (H)=A/B
    Materials Technology Metalwork (H)=A/B

I did better than I thought I would, despite the fact I did almost zero studying.

    How did everyone find Irish(HL)?
I feel I may have scraped an A, considering my brother's result in 2010, but I'm unsure!! What did you think of the paper as a whole?

I don't wana talk about the exam any more, I want to forget about the Junior Cert.

Irish was okay, I hope I got a B but I probably got a low C or high D. Paper two had a error in one of the questions... overall, it was an okay paper, not my favourite subject and teacher poorly prepared us.

    What was the mistake?

Nothing huge. In the poetry comparitive question, it told you to compare a poem you have studied to the unseen prose. It was a typo, a direct copy and paste of the prose comparitive question. It didn't affect me though as I did the other option where you choose the emotion of theme relating to a studied poem.

Are we still on about this?

Less than a month to go now. Lucky (Or unlucky) Leaving Cert students only have two days to wait. I do want to know what I got, but I can handle the wait.

I'm excited to get my results in less than a month from now! I know I tried my best in ALL subjects :).

You can't do better than that, to be fair.

I done no study for the exams so a near emulation of my mocks would be brilliant

No, most things are totally new courses except for languages (obviously as it progresses) and maths (you'll probably have a quick revision class). Other than that really most courses are new.

I am beyond excited to go back to school :O I'm back August 28th, how about ye guys?

I haven't thought about my results all summer tbh, but now that LC Results are out, I'm starting to think about them. Am I the only one who feels they might have done worse than what they got for the Mocks? Maybe it's just fright though :P

In some cases, the OL LC course in a subject is not a lot different from the HL JC course.
