was in work at 6 this morn got home at 2 and made some grub, put on my pj's, hooked up tv and watched a couple of movies my daughter downloaded for me in hd with surround sound, it was heavenly. I just ate some apple crumble and ice cream with a cup of tea and I'm sleepy now. Think I have time for one more movie before I fall asleep on the sofa.

Home from work at 6, crash for 10mins, get the tracky pants and tackies on (that's Limerick for trainers) and off out for a 2 hour walk with the dog. Rain, hail, snow... The dog gets walked. Every day. Twice a day. Gets me out of the house.

Just home, surfin' the net and deciding if I'm going back to the office to make a dent in tomorrow's work.

I mean real people.

Not sure what the definition of "real people" is but TV viewing figures coupled with computer game sales figures and porn traffic on the net - would suggest that a significant answer to your question is that they sit on the couch staring a a screen of some sort.

Cooking and child care take up a significant amount of time of your average person too I warrant. Sex also enters into the lives of a few.

I am afraid I am likely one of the people you list as not being "real people" however so this is all guess work for me. There is also very few things I do while it is not raining that I fail to do when it is.

Certainly the concept that there is "nothing to do" is not one that has entered my mind even once in the last decade. In fact I am in awe of the people who can find the time to simply do nothing.

Home from work at 18:00 on the 3 days I work, Dinner, homework with the kids, general housework, put the kids to bed, and either watch tv with the misses or retire to the mancave for some internet surfing, watch a movie, play guitar, work on some dj mixes/ playlists and eventually go to bed...
