P.s. Littlewoods Ireland is the biggest RIP off website ever sow in my life. They get stupid people traped in their sales, because they let you pay in parts. Prices are shocking.

Not a concern for me really, this will be an Xmas prezzie so once it lands before then I'm happy

I cancelled my Amazon order for a PS4 and went for Gamestop purely because if the console acts up I can pop in store here in town and demand satisfaction

Do you get an extra 25% trade in credit when you are Pre ordering the Ps4 in gamestop?

Pre-ordered in Gamestop Henry Street, was going to order online but I like the idea of being able to throw a €20 here and a €20 there off the total price so not a huge outlay upfront

Does anyone know when we might get a release date, must be at least before August? I need to book a few weeks off, get in food supplies, ship off the kids and send my wife to her mothers to stay! Do SONY even know how stressful my life is already!!!

I think they will announce the date at Gamescom which is on Aug 21st to 25th, seems so far away. I really want to know the date myself, I will be booking a week off work also

You do indeed. Hence the reason I've traded my PS3 and games in. That and not getting much use out of it ATM. Over half the PS4 is paid for!

I can't bring myself to sell my PS3, I'll just have to start salting away the fundage and hopefully have it built up by the release date.
So, what launch games are people getting?
I've had a look and nothing overwhelms me at this point.

No way selling my PS3 always regretted pawning off my ps2 and psx. Made clear to the misses that she HAS to let me get a ps4 or life with me will be unbearable! :cool:

I know I've mine pre-ordered but I just don't see me getting it on launch day. In terms of games I'll probably get the new Call of Duty for a start and see what else blows my mind. I s the new Batman game going to be on the PS4 as well as the PS3? Graphics look amazing for it!

Got 220eu paid off so far. Might put another 50eu next week. I did preordered knack and Killzone and extra controller with it too. Talked more with GameStop fella and there will be 100% shortage on launch. The demand is unreal across the board. Xbox one preorders picked up, but ps4 still dominating the list.

I won't be trading in my ps3. Its an proper launch ps3 with 500gb. I love that thing

All I want now is proper date so I can book off 2 week holiday.

Had mine pre-ordered at the end of february, was at the time when they started doing the trade 5 games in for 90 and 2 for a new release, managed to get 370 euro store credit, just kept trading in 2 games for a new release and trading it back to them the next day and doing the 5 game trade in a few times.

I checked with gamestop via twitter and email last week. I was told at that early stage a preorder would guarantee one at launch..

Gamestop would not even give me The Last of Us on launch day without a pre-order! So no chance I reckon getting a PS4 unless pre-ordering well in advance!

Really? I walked in and got one with no problem. That was at the Gamestop Wilton store in Cork.

Preordered today in my local XtraVision. €10 down only €389.99 to go. Probably pay it off over the next couple months. Thinking I'll need another €200 at launch for my usual Fifa, BF4 or COD, an undecided game and PS+ for another year !!

Yeah went in Sat after the Friday release here in Dundalk. I said "Last of Us please" he said "have you a pre-order" I said "no" then he said "you need a pre-order" I said "that's fine I know know somewhere else I can go"

Was very strange! I bought it off PSN then. Usually pre-ordering just means you get an extra gift or something which I was not bothered with!

I couldn't get it anywhere! Sold out at launch, sold out again the day after they got new stock, and yesterday when I was in gamestop I overheard some guy ask for it and it was out of stock again!

I just got it on amazon in the end, but it's ridiculous how popular this game is

Back in stock in most stores as and from today, Xtra Vision Deal of trade in 2 games from a list and get it for €5 is still running, picked my copy up today. Also pre ordered my PS4 from Smyths ennis road in Limerick. Had a look at the list of names and I am 8th in line !!!!!

i must say any one who can get there hands on the last of us it is well worth it has to be one of the best games ever to come out on ps3, so glad i pre ordered

also anyone know of any ps4 bundles in irish shops yet?

Re Last of us it's down to 45.99 in Argos, if you can find a store with stock, I bought the last on in Dundrum.

Back on topic, are Smyths guaranteeing stock available for pre-orders? Would you be better going with Gamestop I wonder? I could see Gamestop stock bound for Ireland being kept to fulfil UK pre-orders!
Anyone got contacts in Sony Ireland see if we can get an idea what kind of number Ireland will be allocated?
