I pre booked the PS4 back in the summer in Smyths Tallaght.

I gave my pre order to my brother in law but they still had my number so i had to choose bundles and all.

I chose the Killzone mega bundle for him and they rang me yesterday to confirm it.

Just got a phone call there to say they didn't get enough Killzone mega bundles in and I'd have to change.

I dont think my brother in law really wanted the mega bundle anyway but I'd be fairly pissed if i was getting it myself, getting ready for a midnight launch and 4 hours before hand being told i wouldn't get one.

I went to my local Xtra-Vision just now and they said they got 1 mega bundle in, which can't be pre-booked. That's me up early in the morning so, I'm determined to be first in line.

Ah Balls Amazon seem to have dispatched this evening eta is Saturday 30th to Belfast so very little hope of getting it over the weekend
Seems to have shipped with City-Link to Belfast no info on tracking reference provided.

Folks just a heads up for smyths midnite launch. was on the phone to carrickmines earlier enquiring about paying before 12. Was told pay at midnight. But that i had to bring the phone with the text mesg saying my console was availabe at midnight. So make sure you bring the phone with the text just in case

I never got a text, only a phone call on monday asking if ill be coming to the midnight launch.

They better not start acting up and making a fuss because i've no text!!

There is tracking, and it can be viewed on the CityLink website. You'll definitely get it tomorrow, Saturday is just to cover themselves.

Smyths in Waterford told me to just bring the receipt, i didnt get a text for midnight, they rang me directly so i guess it is different for each store.

Don't worry when you check it at about 1:00am and it's in Germany, it will be in Dublin by 5:30-6am. My Xone took the same route from Amazon.

Is anyone else in the middle of preparing their living room .Spent the last half hour dusting and polishing TV stand , cleaning TV screen , untangling wires and unplugged my ps3 for the first time in 3 years.

Yeah, I'm running out of sockets, have to find a space between a phat PS3, 360 and X1. Bought the vertical stand for the PS4 to save some space. Never though I'd see all 4 HDMI port of my TV in use either.:eek: Cables everywhere and USB leads for all the different controllers. It's crazy. At least the PS4 and X1 share a common micro USB format for the controllers. I have a DS4 connected to my PS3 with the X1 lead.

Between Christmas and February depending on where you go.

Even though i am probably not done posting here yet, i just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who posted on this thread, it has been informative, helpful, entertaining and has helped to wile away the hours during the loooooooooonnnnnnnnnggggggggg wait for this launch night.

It's hard to say, no one really knows when the next batch will be in or how big it will be when it does arrive. In the US Gamestop sold out of PS4s in one day with a total of around 1 million back ordered with all retailers in the US and Canada if reports are to be believed. PS4 seem to be clearing at a rate of about 3:1 to the Xbox One.
