Idea/advice needed

Not sure which forum to put this, but I'm looking for a bit of advice.
I broke top joint of my index finger just over 6 weeks ago. It's been in in a splint for 6 weeks and the break is fixed. Problem now is that the middle joint won't bend as it has been held straight for so long. Would I need to look for physio or is there any exercises etc I could do to get my finger back its free movement? Where the break was doesn't hurt but the 'seized' joint is awful sore! This is the result of a farming accident, so maybe I should have put this query in the farming forum.
Any ideas gratefully received as it's driving me mad!!!

may or may not be similar situations.

I injured my index finger a few years ago.

No splints, but i did notice the top joint was really loose. it wiggled when I flicked it and it was driving me mental. I was genuinely worried about the permanent damage. (i need to use my hands for work so it was a bit of a thing)
After a good couple of months it started to slip my mind, then one day I remembered and when i checked it was back to being rock solid again. all healed proper.

Could be in your case the bone has healed but the tissue is still healing.
first, check it by a medical professional. if they are not worried then you probably dont need to be.
second. give it a little longer to heal. it may fix itself.

Go see a physio, you will only need one short appointment. They will be able get that movement started and show you how to progress it.
