    Ok, I'm 30 male, 5ft 11. 172.8lbs.
All my excess weight is on my belly.

Today for example I consumed 1500.

    I cycled 35k apparently burning 950 calories.

So what the hell. I'm left with 550 calories to myself. Is that right? Or do I need to eat more calories.

I'm not sure how this calorie burning day to day thing works.

950 cals for a 35k cycle seems an extreme overestimate to me! Where did you calculate this figure from?

Well, a GPS app. Just under two hours. It calculates time, speed, distance, your weight and height.

I don't think so. According to my heart rate monitor I'm burning about 8-10kcal/min during my cycle at moderate pace.

Also I find cronometer.com very handy for calculating my calorie intake.

I'd agree with a reading from a heart rate monitor. I'm just sceptical of the calorie burn amounts that apps and online calculators give you.
