    That's what I drink. Low on calories. Just do a quick search for exact numbers.

    Guinness and the other main stouts are relatively low in calories. Some think they are really high for some reason.

    Many heavy drinkers do not put on much fat due to alcohol. Calories are only an estimate as to the energy a substance will provide. As a heavy drinker I personally never really counted alcohol calories along with ones from food. I know many big drinkers who were the same, seeing little weight change when giving up booze.

    weight gain was negligible in alcoholics who were given 2,000 calories of alcohol daily on top of the 2,500 calories from foods they consumed to maintain their weight. But when the same number of additional calories were fed as chocolate, a steady weight gain resulted.
