French champion hurdle

I see solwhit is going over for this on Sunday. Paddy power priced the race up solwhit a 2-1 chance followed by celestial halo and thousand stars.

Given solwhit will probably be about 43.456/1 with French bookies anyone any idea where you might be able to back in this race with a French bookie online instead of letting paddy power clean up on their own?

Will that not only be paid from a French tote or will paddy power honour that

paddy power will honour pari mutual prices .
ladbrokes also. they give you the option to back at tote prices in their shops on every irish race
pari mutual is the french tote

Oh I know, but if I know im getting the french tote price, I can reduce my stake. That way, if he doesnt win, I wont be eating crusts for a week :P

I would'nt trust boyles or any bookie shop staff on a question like this unless you get them to check with head office first.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,665 ✭✭✭dirkmeister

What's the ground going to be like over there lads?

2/1 seems for Solwhit seems too good to be true, time to fill your boots?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,370 ✭✭✭rossom

Solwhit will definitely be bigger than 2/1 on the Pari Mutual if their previous pricing is anything to go by. Celestial Halo was bigger than 50s on it when winning recently which is nearly 10 times the price bookies over here paid out.

I'm 99% sure you can do it on Bet365 and get the best price between all betting mediums in France and the price in the UK (and you can take the price available at the time and still get BOG). The way you do it is by going into the international section of horse racing and finding the race in there as opposed to just standard UK + Ireland cards. I remember for the Melbourne Cup you they gave you the best odds for all 3 Aussie Totes, allowing you to take the current price and giving you BOG if the horse started at bigger odds. 100% the way to go

If they leverage off the French tote and offer sh*it prices here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,818 ✭✭✭ste2010

I've emailed bet365 to see if they can confirm they will offer pm prices ?
I have also located a site which does it in France...however my French isn't strong enough! Can someone have a look and let us know if it will be another option for tomorrow's race

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,665 ✭✭✭dirkmeister

PP have taken down the betting in the last few minutes.

    Edit: Back again.

Aye got one on at Boyles in store today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,818 ✭✭✭ste2010

Got parimutuel prices on diakali, seabass and solwhit! Booom

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,024 ✭✭✭✭ShaneU

PP don't offer parimuteul on the website anyway. Think you can do it on bet365 by choosing pools instead of fixed odds but not sure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,408 ✭✭✭ft9

Backed him on pm prices myself in Boyles today.

It's all dependent on the bets that go down exact same as tote. They seem to be always higher sometimes ludicrously higher for English and Irish horses. I believe the frenchies like to back there own

    Celestial Hero 79. Ha?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,474 ✭✭✭longshotvalue

Dont even look at the prices now as the only thing that counts is what price it is at the off.

Yeah, that's true. C Halo now 31 for example so you're right, waste of time looking at those prices early doors. I'm presuming you can't take a price on this system.

    5/2 with paddy power now

Lads, what way should the slip look if you want Pari Mutual prices?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,474 ✭✭✭longshotvalue

Solwit is 3/1 with Coral, and Seabass is 5/1 in a few places.

If anything you will probably get a phenomenal price on seabass

I'm also of the opinion blood cotils win against diakali was staged last time in auteil . I think there will be a reverse today

Just write your normal bet & instead of writing the price 2/1, write PMU.

Make sure your in boyles. Bet365 best odds guaranteed doesnt incorporate pmu.

Racebets showing Solwhit at 7.1 but when you bet it's SP. Guessing that's Pari Mutual aswell?

Hard to know. Pmu is exact same as tote. I'm assuming Irish bookies who have some level of trading with the French tote will only be able to offer these prices

Are these races going to be shown on ATR?
