Yes, I use them. Prices are good, but they are vey slow to despatch goods and then they can take a week or two to arrive. If you are in no hurry, they are great.

Bought a CD from them... Took over 3 wks.... Arrived from Hong Kong and it was a version of the CD for the Asian market with a label on the back saying "Not for sale outside of South East Asia". I won't be using them again.

I have ordered a CD from them. Their delivery date was better than amazon. Nothing yet!

All I can get from my account is "Backorder".

Think I'll stick with Amazon.

They're ok, but their CDs are Asian versions (could be anywhere from Hong Kong to Malaysia), CDs might be slightly damaged during shipping. Better stick with Amazon for reliability

I bought a bottle of perfume from them a week ago. It arrived today and we were stung with an extra €30 customs charge by the postman at the door. (He did not give my wife a receipt either). Nowhere on wow HD does it say where the order is coming from.
I see a sticker on the box that says strawberry net Singapore. A google search turns up a website that sells perfume! I wonder are fulfilling the orders on behalf of wowHD. There is also another label where the postage stamp would be that has PP sweden if undelivered return to an address in Sweden.

Bought Football Manager 12 on pre-order and was waiting 2-3 weeks for it to deliver after the release date. Never again!

Ordered a P3 game from WOW HD at the start of December and was told 4 to 10 days for Delivery(lying), Its now 17th of December and still no delivery. Sent two emails to their customer service and no reply.
The fact that they are SLOW to deliver & the fact that their Customer Service will not reply to enquiries, I will not be using WOW HD ever again

Absolultely awful.. Ordered a cd 3 wks ago and still not arrived.. Don't know how they are allowed operate.. Never again would I use them.

I did a search on boards for wowhd.ie and this came up. I ordered something last week. I ordered a CD for a gift and still no sign of it. Going by this thread, I'm going to give up waiting and will pop into town sometime when I am free at fcuk knows when for something else as a gift.

that is no indication of anything. they even say in their FAQ

The fact that they even mention customs charges means that they dont ship from ireland.

I've ordered from them before (I get vouchers from Irish Opinions) and sometimes it takes up to a month to arrive. If youre impatient I wouldnt order from them. Some items come from China and the USA so it's unpredictable.

Ordered from them many times. Most of items came from Far East (HK, Singapore, Thailand etc.), just one or two came from Europe (not sure now - Switzerland or Luxembourg).

i use couchers too and at least a month before it arrives. Customer service is useless. I only use them because I get vouchers from them

I used the contact link.

The email they kept replying with was support@wowhd.com

They replied two days after I contacted them.

I'm not sure how long after that I was given a refund.
(It was March 2013)

I've used them quite a few times now and find that the only issue I've ever had with them is their delivery times. TBH, the only reason I started using them was because they accepted laser when most other sites only accepted credit cards. I have a VISA Debit now though but I still use them.

Once you're aware of the fact that the product could take a while to be delivered, and are okay with this, then I don't think there's an issue.


I remember emailing them twice when the waiting time exceeded 15 days and they emailed back within two days. That's usually as far as I got though as the product arrived just before they emailed back, on both occasions. :pac:

I'm sorry I hadn't checked out wow hd before I ordered stuff.
I paid for my items on the 25th May and all it say's is "backorder" I've written to customer services twice , the 2nd time asking for refund and never got a reply. Won't ever be using them again

I've got a good few CDs and DVDs from them with no problems. Granted they are very slow but I can live with that. I purchased two CDs on March 27th and I got notification that they were dispatched June 4th - I should get them next week some time. But I haven't received any marketing emails from them over the past month or so - I usually get two or three a week - is that an indication that they might be in trouble?

When I ordered the stuff, it said it was in stock. My grandson is home from Australia tomorrow and I had ordered 3d movies. I had told my grandson I had the movie's for him as it said 4 to 10 days from dispatch and I didn't expect any problems.

Anyone know why the Games tab is missing from the main page?? Searching it still works but they don't seemed to have added much item in the Games section lately.

Surely someone would have noticed that their game sales have slumped.

After six months of an order being on backorder, I requested a refund. They said they couldn't offer a money refund due to how old the order was but they offered a refund via voucher instead.

I accepted the voucher and a week later I now find out that they have updated their site and removed the voucher feature. So my refund is in the wind.

I won't be using them again.

They won't honour them. If you got them from Irish opinions they might exchange it for a Tesco one.

I ordered a CD on 29 Dec and it hasn't arrived after 10 days. I also thought I was ordering from an Irish office of this company as it was an irish website and in Euros. I have sent two emails to their online email method without any acknowldgements. They have also deleted the purchase from my account history. I will not be buying anything from them again and will stick to downloading music instead. I recommend nobody uses them. Another mistake I will have to put down to experience and another company like HMV causing the death of physical music sales and helping to promote illegal downloads

Yeah - I ordered 3 CDs on 11th December - I'm expecting them to be delivered anytime from next week onwards. As I said before, they're OK so long as you're not in a hurry for your stuff.

Actually, on a side issue, you've reminded me of something that puzzled me.

I got a DVD from them last year that was posted to me from Hong Kong, but it had the Irish rating certificate on the box under the cellophane wrapper - you know the blue sticker - is that possible? Can anyone enlighten me?

Yeah, they sell English language Region 2 DVD stock which would often be printed/labelled for UK and Irish (if the same rating - there's rules on this) ratings.

CD wise you can get some odd releases.

Rubbish experience with Wow HD here also, day 18 after supposed dispatch, and still nothing. They say I need to allow up to 45 days.

I raised a dispute with Paypal, hopefully they will refund me.

I've used it since.

Everything arrives eventually, but my last order over Christmas took over 3 weeks to arrive. I guess Christmas didn't help.

2 weeks average for me.
