Tonight, WWE is broadcasting this week's edition of Raw from The XL Center in Hartford, CT. The following is being advertised for the show:
-Dolph Ziggler is being advertised to return, however it's likely he will appear in non-wrestling capacity as he did not return to the ring at the live events this past weekend.
-The dark match main event for tonight is being listed as John Cena (c) vs Ryback for the WWE Title.

Over/Under on Cena belittling Axel's win?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,990 ✭✭✭✭Lithium93_

Cena will more than likely shrug of Axel's win, as if it never happened

Wow, no real discussion on this, is there? Wondering if we'll make two pages by morning...

By the end of the night we'll get HHH leaving to little sympathy, maybe they'll play that Lonely Man theme from the Incredible Hulk this time.

    Triple H vs.CurtisAxel 2.

Can HHH really have 3 losses in a row on his CV or will he put the good of the business before his ego?

Really hope there is a clean finish. But I expect another screwy finish :(

You could clearly hear Chioda say "30 seconds" there for the break.

I know someone already said it's a hot crowd but Orton was getting an absolutely crazy response there.

I absolutely love every single match the Shield are in! They make in-ring chaos look absolutely amazing each and every time!

Good match, Ambrose's finisher is crap though.

Love the shield. Best thing in wwe these days by a considerable distance

Great match Still they better not turn Bryan.

It's impressive how Team Hell No have remained over despite being together so long (by modern WWE tag team standards), it's a credit to the talents of both wrestlers.

Best way to entice viewers to tune in after the break? Promise to tell fans about the Usos new facepaint.

The Headlock Driver? I like it. It's unique and when done properly looks very painful. It's a head shot too so its a believable finishing move, especially when compared to the likes of the AA.

I dunno, it just seems like an extra powerful bulldog to me.

I was thinking "yeesh, they're advertising Sheamus after the break with Cody, that's gonna kill the ratings" then I remembered that it was Del Rio that was currently on, and what was before that? The Usos? What is it that bumps the ratings nowadays?

The way Bryan's going around has to be an indication of a push. Jesus Christ I haven't seen a proper wrestler like him since Eddie Guerrero

Michael Cole *very* nearly said Curtis Angle! :D

Count out in a no DQ match eh?

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 30,996 Mod ✭✭✭✭Insect Overlord

No DQ match. Ref starts a 10 count anyway.

    Makes sense.

Good ould Cena cannot be hurt by a chair

I'd say he'd survive a gunshot to the head if "Curtis Axel" pulled the trigger in this match

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,758 ✭✭✭Strongbow10

someone needs to give Cena a lesson in selling FFS, panting and crawling only to jump straight up and put Axel in the STFU position

A No DQ just means that you can't be disqualified for using a weapon or interference, doesn't say anywhere that you can't be counted out as well!

Daniel Bryan simply showed Punk should hand over that Best In The World tag to him.

He made Ryback look amazing. His six man tag with the shield was awesome. His backstage work was great.

Shame on you guys for not even mentioning the Ryback/Bryan match.

Bryan was everywhere on this show, and absolutely stole it. Was thrilled that the crowd did their job too, making him look an absolute star tonight. I'm hoping that, based on this show, Bryan has some bright months ahead of him.

The tease of Vince vs The Shield annoyed me the way it just got resolved during the break. Still, credit to Vince and Steph, they got people cheering HHH and that's something he's not been able to do himself as of late. Also noticed they advertised Punk in the first graphic for the contract signing and then quickly pulled him out of all the others. The first half hour had just a few too many bait-and-switches like that.

Meanwhile, another chilling Wyatt Family promo, Heyman being Heyman, the undercard getting some good matches....this was actually a pretty good show.

Stephanie and especially Vince did a great job of heeling it up. They are just natural heels and I hope they stick around for a while.

The Shield thing was annoying though and will cost them in the long run if they keep doing that.

Bryan was made to look like a total f*cking star last night, his match with ryback was brilliant - and he did technically get the win - not that that matters too much but it is a nice touch - shows they actually believe in him - get him a good singles run against ziggler for the title with the blow off victory at summerslam and i will be a very happy man!

Nah, have him and Cena fight it out for the WWE championship instead! That way we have Ziggler and Bryan as champs! That would be pretty damn awesome!

he is too over to just get squashed by cena (which would happen!) give him another good run with the WHC in a non MITB victory and then carry it for a while - then after he drops it he can go for the toher one - or unify the 2 - i would be good with that too! :p

Dont hold your breath. Two titles means two house show runs at the same time.
