    Hi Everyone
I have just bought a 15ft Fletcher bravo speed boat with a mercury 75 outboard engine.
I got a very good deal off a lady who wanted rid of it following a break-up.

The problem is that I know nearly nothing about speed boats (apart from what I could learn from utube re launching etc)
I was depending on getting the basics (How to start ,it control it and maintain it) from the seller however the lady knew less than me.

I Kinda need to meet someone who has similar to show me what the buttons are for ect and was hoping that

1, there might be some member living near Skerries who could call up and help me out.
    or
    2. I could travel to someone with similar equipment who could show me the basics
    or
3, Someone could point me where best to go.

There is a very good bottle of whiskey for someone who thinks that they could give me a bit of their time (Im a quick learner)
    or similar.

    many thanks

If I get a chance I'll drop down but it could be midweek when the kids are back at school.
For starters I would look at doing a powerboat course http://www.powerboatschool.ie/ this will teach you a lot and stand to you when you go to insure the boat, I see you were also on powerboat.ie so if you give Kyron O'Gorman a shout saying your a member he will look after you, there are sometimes other guy's/girls that want to do the course so if you join up with them it will be cheeper.
    Talk to you soon.
