Still seeing some ads

I'm a paid subscriber, so why am I seeing some ads. They aren't on every page but they do pop up irregularly. Any idea why? I was under the impression becoming a subscriber meant no more ads.

Did you actually turn them off in the User CP first though?

I have remove banner adverts ticked as remove. Is there a second place?

No, just that, so it's off to site development to check.

Just for reference its only on some threads, and its only the ad in the middle at the bottom of the page.

I reckon this is just an ad placement that isn't contained in the logic that says if you're a subscriber, don't show.

Can you drop me a link to a page with the ad then I can check it out?

    Thanks,

    Danny

At the bottom of this thread is an ad for VHI.
    LINK

Actually every thread in that forum has ads. I wonder is it the forum because it's prison?

It's any thread page that doesn't have a quick-reply box. So prison threads or locked threads, mainly

Any update on this? The occasional slow-loading ad blocks the page from loading and you get the infamous "jump" when it finally finishes

The ad slot should be non-blocking, it's coming asynchronously from Google

As for a resolution on not showing it I've got it in the bug tracker and we should be able to squash it soon; a bit snowed under with some other stuff just at the minute though :(

Good to hear. The resolution bit that is, not the snowed under bit :P

Cheers for the investigative work; do you know if it's always ads served via bluelithium that are the issue?

Only one I've noticed anyway, and have opened quite a few threads with various ads

Flashing ads.bluelithium.com adds are popping up on a toolbar at the bottom of the page when I am on boards.ie

How do I get rid of it?

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
