    It seems like a very illogical decision to use it only for this market, and not the overseas ones. If it works in the overseas plants and markets (Nigeria having the second largest Guinness sales in the world at that), then why can't they do that here?

    I can't think of another situation where a harvested part of a slaughtered animal is used but not consumed in food preparation.
    Bone charcoal can be used to treat water used in any foods. It also can be used to treat distilled spirits and whiten sugar.

    Not sure if its used in household water supplies here.
