Your thoughts on LP????? <.< >.>

    I can't crack my knuckles, I'm jealous. :(

By LP, I assume you mean Linkin Park? If yes, I'm not a fan at all, sorry! I like maybe two or three of their songs, but when it comes to rock/metal, I generally listen to heavier stuff. Just never really got the hype with them tbh. I like the vocalist's voice, but that's about it.

Presuming McFly fit into this category. :p

I'm not very good at coming up with questions but I'll try.

    Scariest experience you've ever had?
    First memory?
    Favourite tattoo?
Do any of your tattoos have meaning or are they all purely aesthetic?

:pac: I said WHEN IT COMES TO ROCK/METAL. Gawd, woman! :p

Scariest experience - By far, when I nearly drowned as a kid. I'm not even going to go into much detail because it still freaks me out, but yeah, I'm still afraid of water, and gave up competitive swimming as soon as it happened. :(

First memory - When I had just turned 3 years old, my mum had my little sister. But, my sister ended up nearly dying of lysteria, and my first memory is of walking down a long, dark corridor in the evening time, with a big, helium balloon in one hand, holding my dad's hand, going to visit her.

Three of my five tattoos have meaning. One (which I've never posted a pic of, or even shown Marty :pac: ) has two meanings. It's the date I quit something I had a major issue with, and it's also the date that something happened that in turn led to the 'major issue.' Once I was healthy, I got it as my first tattoo, on the exact date, to pretty much prove to myself how far I'd come.

One on my ankle (says 'creideamh, which means faith) was got because I was feeling rubbish for a long time, didn't like myself, doubted everything I did. So I got it so that anytime I was feeling like that, I'd look down and remember to have faith in myself. I didn't need a tattoo to remind me, but I wanted one. :)

One on my forearm (cherry blossom) has a meaning that I'm not saying. :D

Other two are just 'cause I wanted them.

    Thank you. :)

What made you decide to give up smoking? By this I mean for reals. Every smoker 'gives up' a billion times, but finally have that one time where it just clicks into place.

What sports are you into if any?
Do you play sports or just spectate?

    Favourite colour?

Hmm. I don't have one favourite, and it changes all the time. At the moment, I'm mad about Steel Panther, Primordial, Daft Punk, Kodaline, Children of Bodom and erm... Bruno Mars. :pac:

I kept getting sick! I was getting chest infections every month, had double pneumonia once and ended up on inhalers for a few years. I decided just before NYE last year that I was done with it. I'm not gonna lie though, I still smoke when I drink. But I've managed not to smoke sober, which is good enough for me at the moment. :)

What sports are you into if any?

I looooooooooooove rugby. :D I also like archery, basketball, ice hockey, don't mind footie or GAA and a few other things that I can't think of off the top of my head. I'll happily watch any sport except cricket tbh.

Do you play sports or just spectate?

I play. I currently do boxing as my only sport, but also do circuit training, kettlebell classes, abs toning classes and TRX classes. Once I get a new bow, I'll get back into archery, too. :)

    Favourite colour?

    Turquoise. :)

    Thank you. :)

I ask myself that same question every day. :pac:

Money no object who you most like to be tattoo'd by? and what would you get done?

I'd kill to get something like the pic I'm gonna attach done by the beuna vista club. LOVE that sort of work.

who's your favourite Irish artist if any?

That'd be a toss up between Ross Nagle and Remis.

What would be your dream vaccination??

Vaccination? Probably a vaccination against aids. :p

what do you consider your greatest achievement?

Defeating mental illness problems about a year and a half ago, after 8 or so years of being destroyed by it. :D

    It's just a word I like, that I feel fits me. :D

Is there a tattoo/tattoo style you don't like?

I despise tribal tattoos. I know it takes skill and everything, but I just don't like how they look at all. I'm not a mad fan of the whole 'koi fish' tattoo trend going around either.

    Would you ever try scarification?

Nope, too similar to self harm for my liking. I don't mean that with regards to anyone else getting scarification done, it's a really interesting type of body modification, but I'd personally feel like it's almost self harming.

    Harry Potter yay or nay?

Nay. Not a fan at all. Liked the books as a kid, but that's about it.

    Ditto Pokemon?

Fcuk yeah! :D Favourite pokemon is Togepi because it's like me - hard on the outside, soft on the inside. :pac:

I think there are enough good people in the world for hope to never die. :)

None, not even my ear lobes!

Is your hair dyed or au natural?

Jesus, dyed all the way! I'm naturally blonde, been dyeing it since I was 12.

Are you a flats or heels girl?

Heels, although I have to wear flats more because of work and stuff. MUCH prefer heels, though. :)

    Converse or Vans?

Aesthetically, Converse. But I don't wear Converse anymore and still have a pair of Vans knocking about, so Vans in general. :)

    Skirts or Jeans?

Skirts. I only wear jeans if I'm in work. I fcuking hate jeans. I live in skirts and dresses. :)

    Call or text?

Text, because I'm usually too shy to talk on the phone. :o

    Do you speak any languages?

English. :p I speak pretty much fleunt Irish, good German and a few words/sentences of Japanese, Dutch, French, Polish, Latvian and Spanish.

What year are you in, in college?

Just finished. :) I'm going back in September to do criminal Psych. :)

What made you want to study psych?

Well, criminal psych isn't the same as psych, but mainly because the justice seen by abuse victims is a joke in a lot of cases, and I want to guarantee that scumbags who hurt kids are locked up for a long time. The psych element is because I love psychology, always have. :)

    Ummm that's all!

    Thank you! :)

iirc, double pneumonia just means it gets you in both lungs at the same time, as opposed to one lung with 'normal' pneumonia, but I could be wrong on that, it's quite a few years since I've had it.

I don't really play any video games anymore. I used to play anything and everything, but stopped playing about 2 years ago. Life gets in the way!

Favourite alcoholic drink is a toss up between a double vodka and blackcurrant or a Cosmopolitan. :)

Favourite non-alcoholic drink is water. I'm boring. :o

    Thanks. :)

    Favourite memory?

The last time I went to visit my aunt Norma before she died. I was only a young'un, and she spent the whole time bringing us out, showing us interesting things, never letting on that she was dying. It was lovely and gave me some long lasting memories of her. :)

Favourite piece of clothing you own?

Hmmm.... That's a tough one! Possibly my black body con miniskirt, just because it goes with absolutely everything and is really comfortable. It's really short, so makes my legs look longer, too. :D

    Favourite animal?

Red pandas. They're soooooooooo cute!! Or my dog. She's all right too. :pac:

    Favourite book?

Any of the Ross O'Carroll-Kelly books.

    Favourite movie?

I don't have one solid favourite, it varies between Dead Man Walking, Battle Royale, The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption or Pride and Prejudice (the Colin Firth one, fcuk the newer one!).

    Thanks. :)

    Thanks. :o

OK, It's been a long day and I'm tired so just a few teasers for now...

What were you like at school, scoundrel or nerd?

I was a bit of both, strangely. I caused a lot of trouble, but I NEVER got so much as a detention, because I was getting straight As and I was the school's only hope of having a student go on to third level education. :pac:

Are you happy with how you turned out?

Absolutely. I have room to grow and change, but considering what I've gone through, I think I've turned into somebody I'm really happy and content with. :)

Do you get on with your family?

For the most part, yeah. Obviously, stupid fights happen, but I love all of my family and would die for them.

Best gig you ever went to?

Ooh, that's a tough one! I've been to a LOT of good gigs. Hmm. They're not hugely famous, but I suppose the best one I've been to was Stratovarius in the Button Factory. It was really intimate, I met the band after and they were all sound. :)

    Scariest thing you ever did?

I don't do scary things, I'm a wimp! :o I get scared really easily, so it'd be something pathetic like squaring up to a junkie scumbag from the locality who was giving my sister abuse. I thought she'd murder me. :pac:

    Proudest moment?

The day I got my Leaving Cert Results. I'd been mugged and was left in a bad way about a week before my exams, and struggled massively to get through any of them, and somehow managed to get 500-odd points. that was a shocker, I was convinced I'd failed everything, but I got mostly As, so I was really, really proud that I'd managed to overcome the stress enough to do well. :)

    Can you drive?

    You know I can't!

Have to answer this in two parts, as there are so many questions. :pac:

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,255 ✭✭✭✭Esoteric_

If not, did you ever try?

We've discussed my atrocious attempts at driving before! Don't make me repeat them. :o

Gordon Ramsey - gobshite or class act?

    I love him. :D He's a ledge.

You say you're shy, yet you work dealing with public. Is that not weird?

I suppose it is a bit, but at the same time, I don't find it difficult to fake confidence. If I care about somebody's opinion, I can't fake confidence, but for facing the public, I just use my old acting lessons and act as though I'm the best thing since sliced bread. In general, I'm shy, but I can hide it unless I strongly value the person's opinion of me.

Are you afraid of being asked personal questions?

Nah, not at all. There are a few things I won't discuss because only Marty and a few other people know them and they're more than 'normal' personal questions, but for the most part, I'm a pretty open book. :)

Are you as sound as you seem?

I don't think I'm all that sound. I'm really bloody annoying when I want to be! Thanks though. :p

    Favourite food?

At the moment, chickpeas. :pac: I'm too healthy for my own bloody good!

Graham Norton - yay or nay?

Nay. He's an irritating fcuker. His voice is like nails on a chalk board. *shudder*

I'll get some good ones for you tomorrow or Saturday. :D

    Thanks mate. :D

Did you ever believe in God?

I did up until a few years ago. Up til my late teens, I was quite religious, but then I gained some common sense. :pac:

Do you believe in an afterlife outside of the organised religions?

I don't know tbh. I don't so much believe in afterlife as WANT to believe that there is. I'd like to think some people close to me who have died are looking down on me, and I'll even talk to them, but I don't really believe that they're anything more than a box of bones in the ground.

Do you believe in anything supernatural or think it's all just a trick of the eye?

All a trick of the eye. I'm a cynical bástard. :pac:

    Do you like garden furniture?

Yeah, it's handy for the three or four days a year that we get sun, few drinks, music on, BBQ going, much better than sitting on the grass. :)

Statues of gnomes in gardens weird, cute or "artsy"?

I think they're weird, but I find them cute, too. :) My gran has ones I bought her (to annoy her tbh) that sing every time you walk by them. :pac:

    Water features in gardens?

I think they're pretty and can look nice, but at the same time, any that involve more than a few inches of water can be SO dangerous if you have children. There are always stories in the news about kids drowning in ponds and stuff. So while I love how they look, when/if I have kids, I won't have a water feature!

Ideal holiday - sun v ski, sports v shopping, theme parks v culture......?

Sun, sports, culture, theme parks, sea, sand, ALCOHOL. That's all I need. Not demanding at all, am I? :p

One piece of make-up you can not live without?

Nothing, tbh. I like make up as much as the next person, but I'd manage just fine with none. I don't wear an awful lot anyway. :)

    Are you frugal with money?

Not at all. I'm careful in that I make sure I never really have to borrow money, but I'm also generous to a fault at times. :o

    Thank you. :)

Did you ever do the nasty in public? (outdoors/in a public place - I don't mean on a bus or in a cafe in front of an audience! LOL)

Holidays - non-stop adventure activities or just chillin' by a pool?

You've just been told by your doctor you have three months to live, what would you do?

    Tayto or King?

Marriage - some day or no way!

On the fence. I'm not fussed about it at all, and I don't need it, but if it were important to the man, or was about giving him parental rights, I'd happily do it and enjoy it.

Having kids - something to look forward to or something to avoid?

At the moment, I'd avoid, because there's no way in hell that I'm ready to have kids. In the future, I wouldn't mind having a few.

Night on the piss with mates or romantic night in with loved one?

Has to be a bit of both. I'm still young, I'm not ready for spending my night inside, in front of the tv with a boyfriend. Those nights are lovely, and I like them, but I love my nights out, too. :)

Did you ever do the nasty in public? (outdoors/in a public place - I don't mean on a bus or in a cafe in front of an audience! LOL)

    :o:o:o:o:o Yes.... :o:o:o

Holidays - non-stop adventure activities or just chillin' by a pool?

A mix of both. Holidays are all about getting away from the stress of every day life, so I don't want to be running around non-stop, but I DO want to run around doing things a certain amount. A nice mix of the both would be perfect. :) [/b]

    Funniest "oh shít" moment?

Hmm. Back when I was a lazy, 17 year old college student, I hadn't done my washing, so went out in a dress (it was to the knee, so nothing on show), but no underwear because it was all in the wash. Meeting up with my friends, all wandering around the DCU campus to get to a lecture, when WHOOSH! A gust of wind blew the skirt of my dress right up to my face, exposing my bits for everyone to see. :pac: Thank god I had shaved! :pac:

You've just been told by your doctor you have three months to live, what would you do?

No crazy stuff tbh. I'd rather spend time with my friends and family. After spending as much time as I could with them all, I'd record some videos for them for when I'm gone, then kill myself. No way would I sit around waiting for death!

    Tayto or King?

    I'll be back.... :D

    I hate both! :pac:

Thank you! Some bloody embarrassing questions in there! :pac:

-who would you most like to be stuck on a deserted island with? and why?

Marty, obviously. :p Nah, that's a tough one. I don't know really. Probably my younger sister because she's so bloody hyperactive that it'd never get boring. Then again, I'd never get sex. Can I bring Marty and my sister? :pac:

-your house is burning down you can and you can only save one posession. what?

Photo of my grandad. It's the only one I have of him and he died when I was 7, so I find it difficult to remember a lot about him until I see his photo. :)

-what turned you away from religion??

erm.... That's probably the most personal question so far, so I'm gonna be a bit vague here. I was, for want of a better word, attacked by an ex boyfriend and subsequently suffered severe problems afterwards. While loads of other bad shít had happened to people I loved and to myself prior to that, that attack was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I know they say that god sends bad shít your way to test you, but there's only so much bad shít you can take before you realise that the concept of God is a heap of crap. I've never been happier since I lost my faith tbh.

    Thanks! :)

Do you believe that woodchucks can chuck wood?

If yes, how do you feel about the negative stereotype portrayed in tongue twisters?

If no, why do you buy into the facist government propaganda and what will it take for you to see the truth?

While discussing literature over a few beverages myself and a friend decided that the
    appearance of the red ball
in Run Spot Run, was one of the truly great swerve moments. What would be your favourite "oh sheet, I didn't see that coming" moments? Choose from anything, films, books, w/e.

Wtf @ the first three questions? I'm not even gonna attempt to answer those. :pac:

For the last question, I'm not gonna say what happens in the film because I know Marty wants to see it, but in the film Trance, the whole ending was a complete mind fcuk, I didn't expect any of it. :)

Haven't seen that, must a look see.

I don't really know about the first questions, just popped into my head. But it's obvious from your silence that you've bought into the governments story.

Obviously you're way too young to remember the 80's, but would you like to have been in your teens in the 80's? Or if not then, what decade would you like to grow up in, if any?

I have a wish/fantasy to be able to go back in time to the late 1800's in the States, be an outlaw or cowboy, and live life for a while there. Where/when would you like to go and why?

I was born in the 80s. :p I'd love to have grown up in the 80s, it was basically the same as today (poverty) but with awful clothes and deadly music, win win! :D

I know I'm not supposed to ask questions back, but how come you'd wanna be an outlaw or cowboy? :)

I'd love to be part of the gentility or aristocracy in England in the 1815-1823 region. I LOVE the Regency era, it fascinates me. :) Plus, I'd get to wear a corset every day without my mother telling me I look like a whore. :pac:

Aye, I grew up in it, went from my SKA phase to my metal phase in the 80's. God be with the days of drainpipe jeans, grandad shirts and biker jackets!! :pac:

TBH, I don't know. It's just something that's always been in my head, but I don't know why. Maybe it's just the danger of it, having "Wanted" signs up everywhere, gunfights, saloons etc. I don't know....just think it's cool.

Yeah, if I had a second choice, that'd be it too (without the corsets of course! LOL)

Favourite cartoon from your childhood - Animals of Farthing Wood, Inspector Gadget, Thundercats, Biker Mice from Mars, The Flintstones, The Jetsons.........(sigh, they just don't make 'em how they used to :( )

Most embaressing/cheesy/poppy song on your recent ipod playlist?

If you could wish back any great mind from the dead - artist, scientist, philanthropist, politician - who would it be and why?

Could you survive a zombie apocalypse?

Perfume of choice at the moment?

Most annoying rule/curfew you had when you were younger?

The only two of those I watched were Animals of Farthing Wood (and I fcuking HATED it!) and The Flintstones! My favourite cartoon from my childhood was Pokemon, duh. :p

Most embaressing/cheesy/poppy song on your recent ipod playlist?

I don't own an ipod. :pac: But the most embarrassing/cheesy song I have at the moment is probably 'Love is Easy' by McFly. BUT THEY PLAY UKULELE :D

If you could wish back any great mind from the dead - artist, scientist, philanthropist, politician - who would it be and why?

Hmmm.... Probably Einstein. I'd love to chat about science and find out how a dyslexic person had so much drive and ambition, when so many people today struggle with it, even with all of the help available. :)

Could you survive a zombie apocalypse?

Jesus no. I'm a fcuking wimp!

Perfume of choice at the moment?

Diamonds by Armani. It's been my favourite for god only knows how long. :D

Most annoying rule/curfew you had when you were younger?

Up til I was 16, I had to be in bed by 9pm and home by 7pm. :o :pac:

    Thank you. :)

    I had curfew like that!

A battle against Ekkans, Meowth and Charizard, who do you choose (can't pick the same Pokemon)!

Were your parents v strict about things growing up? (my mam was but there was just the two of us. She did the best she could and obvs I appreciate it all now, even though at the time I was a cnut about things that peeved my teenage self off!)

    Favourite snack food?

Dream holiday destination of money was no object?

It's breakfast time so I'll be back wi more

More people than I can count. I'll try remember as many as I can -

    Johnathon Rhys-Myers (tosser).
    Jeremy Clarkson (sound).
All the members of Good Charlotte (sound).
All the members of Primordial. (vocalist was a cnut, the rest were sound).
All the members of Firewind (the drummer was a wanker to my friend, but absolutely lovely to me, still have his drumstick and a signed t shirt. :D ).
    All the members of Stratovarius.
    Colin Farrel (sound).
Brendon Carroll or whatever the fcuk his name is (biggest arsehole I've ever met).
Ozzy Osbourne (book signing, he was sound).
I know there's loads more, but can't remember off the top of my head. I'll post more as I remember them. :)

what celebrity would you most like to meet?

Johnny Depp. He wouldn't get away in one piece. ;)

mammy's home cooked dinner or nice restaurant?

My mammy doesn't cook! I cook for myself, but definitely home cooked food. I love nice restaurants, but can't beat some proper home cooked food. And I don't mean spuds and meat, I mean nice food. :pac:

what would be your dream job?

Answered that one earlier on, pay attention mate. :p Criminal Psychologist specialising in child sexual abuse cases. :)

    Thanks! :)

Clowns in general! I have no idea why tbh. I was never afraid of them as a kid, then when I hit about 17, bang, I developed a fear of clowns and people I don't know wearing masks. Like, my friends wearing masks, fine, I don't mind that. But strangers, I freak out. I scare too easily. :pac:
