Just won a few euros on football and now im thinking of buying this boat. I have had my eye on it last few weeks but never really had the money untill now and first thing ill be buying with it is my fishing license and a nice boat. Have looked at a few boats at around 1000euro but cant get this one out of my head below. I have enough to buy it outright but noticed a few comments about it here on this forum that says even thou its a nice looking boat, its limited to what it can do. Just curious is there anyone here who knows much about boats and can they tell me the pros and cons of it and what sort of money should i offer for it.

Looks like a fairly well kept boat in the pictures anyway!
Just a few questions you should ask yourself I suppose

-Where do you plan to use it, rivers...lakes?
    -Do you need an engine?
-Will it be just yourself, its probly not big enough to bring 5 mates along for a days fishing :P
-Is there a trailer or do you plan to leave it in the water?

Its hard to point out many pros or cons, there are literally hundreds of similar boats being used for fishing on the inland lakes, so I presume they cant be to bad!!
Just to make sure its suitable for what you need is a big thing and not just something you like the look of!!
Obviously consider the price of safety gear (life jackets, ropes etc) as well if you dont have such gear already!!

-Where do you plan to use it, rivers...lakes? Rivers and lakes
-Do you need an engine? I dont mind rowing but it can take a 7.5hp engine
-Will it be just yourself, its probly not big enough to bring 5 mates along for a days fishing :P For me,wife and 2 kids or me and 2 friends
-Is there a trailer or do you plan to leave it in the water? No trailer, the seller has informed me that this boat is really light and can be lifted on top of a roof rack

Just to make sure its suitable for what you need is a big thing and not just something you like the look of!! I would pay extra for a boat like this for the look. In all my years fishing, ive never seen a boat that looks this good
Obviously consider the price of safety gear (life jackets, ropes etc) as well if you dont have such gear already!! My father inlaw has all the safty gear we need

Still undecided on how much to offer thou.

It's a nice looking boat fine for potting about on a calm day. I don't think the transom was built for an outboard but you might get away with an electric trolling motor. Are you sure you want to put fish crap all over it

Having grown up fishing in wooden fishing boats I wouldnt get one and would get a GRP one if i was you.

Too many days spent out on Lough Owel bailing.

Ease of maintenance would be high on my list. Its a lovely boat but I think you could get a more balanced allround GRP one for less.
