    Hi everybody,
Have made improvements to my diet in the past month, and have been exercising for the past two months, 3-4 times a week.

I eat on average 1200 kcals, food is weighed and logged on to my fitness pal. I burn 300kcals + weights in the gym, or else go to a class such a zumba. Yet, I am still not losing weight (5'7, 11 st 13lbs). Anybody have any idea why i'm not seeing an improvement?? I'm getting frustrated now.

Oh - my calories are made up from healthy foods; egg whites, nuts, salad, stir fry's - with a low cal spray - lots and lots of fruit, yoghurts...

You are eating waaaay too little for your weight.

Go with body weight in lbs x 12.

Also, nothing wrong with egg yokes, any reason why you aren't eating them?

Post up a sample diet. From what you said so far it doesn't look great. Low calories sprays are the devil, as are low fat foods. Fruit while is ok isn't that fantastic either and yogurts can have a huge amount of added sugar in them especially if they are the 'low fat' versions.

hmm... sounds like im going pretty wrong. i'm vegetarian btw so i use quorn chicken (don't like any of the other quorn products)

    - odlums quick oats, low fat milk + few strawberries + candarel (sp?)
    - tangerine
    - wraps (2) - chicken style quorn, mushrooms, red + yellow peppers, baby corn, green beans, little broccoli, onion and two weight watchers wraps at 107 calories each and a little fajita spice
    - 1 low fat tesco yoghurt (100kcals)
-scrambled egg whites (4 egg whites + some chilli flakes)
    - small fruit salad (tangerine, apple, strawberries)

and this day I did a 45 min class of zumba

Yeh as I said, eat your egg yokes, ditch the low fat milk and low fat yogurts and eat more. You are really only eating two meals there, breakfast and lunch. Scrambled egg whites is not really a decent meal. Make it an omlette and throw in some more veg.

I'm sure there are other veggies here that might be able to give you some good protein ideas. I unfortunately love my meat so can't help you there :)

Anything that is low fat usually has the fat removed and replaced with sugar.

Fats (lipids) do not make you fat. Excess calories make you fat.
