    Hi,

I'm looking for a free online or downloadable diet log which allows me to customise foods, view macros and enter meal times alondside what was eaten at the time.

I'm currently using FitDay, but it does not allow me to enter the food in terms of meals so I can't see when I'm eating the food.

    Thanks,

Myfitnesspal might do what you are looking for.

I'm a fan or myfitnesspal - pretty comprehensive and allows customised meals.

Yeah, it's not confined to Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, so if you have 6 meals a day you can set these up with whatever names you want. I think 6 is the maximum number of meals though.

I presume it stores the meals too and that the meals can be listed in terms of individual items, i.e.

    Tea
    Milk
    Wholemeal Pitta
    Boiled Egg
    Salad
    Tomato
    Olives
    Guacamole

    ?

Just started logging my meals on this today. Fats eemed to have dropped considerably and calories too!

I'll need to take a look into this. Thanks for that recommendation, it seem like a good site - even though I can't get it to prodice pie charts of Fat/proteins/carbs. Does anyone know how to do this?

You can on the mobile app, I've never been able to do it on the computer website

Same here, there are a few annoying inconsistencies between the mobile vs web.

I also wish I could share recipes, my girlfriend and I both use the app and eat dinner together but I go to the effort of setting up a recipe she still has to go and do the same.

It's good for that all right, however I quickly gave it up realizing I don't eat most foods like that, but instead cook mixed meals. Curries and so forth. Pain in the balls sometimes with all the weighing.

Just an update, if you view your friend's diary on the web or mobile you can copy an entire meal to your own diary, so recipe sharing is possible in a roundabout way.

They also say they will be making a publicly viewable recipe area soon where people can share and browse user submitted recipes.
