Debunking the Iona Institute-help please!

Hi,I'm looking for info on the Iona Institute and how they have misrepresented studies etc...particularily pertaining to same sex marriage and how it affects the kids etc..I know I saw this stuff somewhere but just can't remember.
Also,I recently read that the most conclusive study to date shows that it doesn't really matter what sexual orientation the parents of a child are-can anybody point me to this study please?
I'm trying to show a rational person (who has been brainwashed by Iona) the truth,they have never heard the truth and have only been fed info from Iona but if I can prove to them(scientifically)that marriage between same sex couples doesn't have negative effects on the kid then they will repent,and that will be sweet coz they firmly believe what they have been force fed from Iona.

You can't show rational information to people and expect them to believe it when the basis of their belief is irrational.
You are asking this person with an irrational belief which forms the basis of their opinion and reality to accept that what they know is a falsehood. If s/he was truly rational then there would be an acknowledgement that the information is bias as the Iona Institute is a conservative Catholic lobby with an agenda. Therefore their reasoning is bound to be bias.
And in fairness, the same way that gay lobby groups put forward information it will naturally have a bias in order to show the side's point.
Be careful where you source your material from and try to pick a neutral group. Perhaps a court in Florida which accepted that there is no point discussing the issue any further in that it has already been proven indisputable? Interesting to note that Florida isn't too fond of gay people.
