Gabriel has so much ability but can he deal with the not so ideal draw? It will be tough but it wouldn't surprise me if he did it. I think I'll opt for Danadana in that one though!

    Didn't Alex Hammond nap Gabrial

    So did Dr. Koukash

Backed Gabriel lto so might stick with him.
Should be plenty more improvement after being gelded.

Looking forward to this Rule the World. Should be up to winning what looks a weak race.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

    Might do that double actually.

Think it looks a terrible Chester Vase and don't think Rule the World will be winning any Derby either

Was told they had the handbrake on that Minella Fifty running in the beginners chase at Newton Abbot,Will watch the market to see if its fancied tomorrow.

Pricewise pick for the Derby. As is often the case he had to tip against Dawn Approach so threw a token dart as he feels the rest of the field outside the jolly is quite mediocre

if the handbrake had been on they'd have gone straight into a handicap chase running off his hurdles rating

Was going to back Ruler Of The World yesterday at 7/4. Odds on now. ah **** off.

2.30 Goodwood Bancnuanaheireann 13/2.Have been watching this lad for some time and I believe today is the day.Even with top weight he looks well treated on his last Goodwood run this time last year where he was just beaten.I was told Bonfire is the real deal this year before his last run[napped him here] and done my money. He ran a shocker and would have to wait for a spark to back him again but if back to his best he wins .4.25 Your Pal Tal 7/1 is unbeaten on grass could be thrown in and has low draw with Fallon up.3.50 I have to back Salford Red Devil 14/1 even if he has the draw from hell.

I see what you did there.

Haylaman in the last at Chester @ 9/2

Well enough drawn, will enjoy the step up in trip and 2lb lower than last winning mark. As he's a Koukash horse you'd have to think its possible he's been laid out for this with just the one run this year.. Spencer booked too.

3:50 Chester - Inciting Incident, if he gets out smartly he won't be beat imo, very unlucky not to have won first time out.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Two small bets, Paintball in the beginners chase at Southwell 6/1 and a dangerously well handicapped but out of form Quasi Congaree at Goodwood 20/1

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,564 ✭✭✭kiers47

1 possibly 2 bets for me today. Red refraction in the 4.25chester 20/1 pp paying first 4.
Debating doing Havana beat. The price is getting juicy now as money comes for I briens. Will probably get on if I get 4/1 off someone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,151 ✭✭✭BQQ

I took 7/2 about Havana beat. O'Brien's horse is a crazy price.

Aussie Reigns catches the eye at Goodwood (14:30).
His only win to date was at goodwood off 2lb lower under Darren Egan.

This is his first time back at goodwood since that win and the first time since that Egan has ridden him.
Looks each way value at a double figure price.

I doubt if there is a better handicapped horse running anywhere today than Elna Bright 4.05 Goodwood 9/2.

Does anybody have a link for the racing today ?

Can't get channel 4 on my proxy.

    It's on Racing UK today.

Enobled here looks good to me at 13/8 here at Goodwood. Don't usually like backing in maidens but the form of his maiden 3rd is very strong. The second won next time and the winner was only beaten a short head by Windhoek in the sales race.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

    Yesssssssss. Nice performance by Enobled.

Anyone any idea what that went in the run?
    Surely 50+

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,205 ✭✭✭Gringo180

That was mightily impressive from Danadana may be a horse to follow this year, great ride from Fallon as well.

Them Dubawi horses really do seem to blossom well with age.

Anyway's I have went with Havana Beat in the next at Chester but I fear with the ground turning more towards soft it could bring Mark Johnstons donkey into play.

Dubawi is a super stallion and they love soft.

Machine that thing of O Briens to win like that on his 2nd start,to think I had my shirt on Pj Prendegasts horse that was 2nd to him and it was tailed off in Gowran

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,474 ✭✭✭longshotvalue

That was a very good performance, he really went forward for a crack of the whip in the straight..

Yeah, looks a good horse, but O'Brien wouldn't be sending his main Derby hope to Chester.

Would not take 14/1 for English Derby. The reason based only on todays race is not the way he finished but that Moore was pushing along well before they turned in against that lot.In the derby he will be well down the field and then running on against Dawn Approach[no chance].Telescope runs in the next few weeks then we will know the story.

    Rancid

that horse beaten a total of 200 lengths in 4 runs and bolts up when the money is down,

Im going 1/1000000000 on that the stewards note they're explanation and do nothing about it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Looking back the horse was with Slippers Madden and tailed off in a bumper, then bought by JP after that. This was always on the cards.
