Just wondering is it as good as optimum nutrition or maximuscle? I want to start using protein shakes to build some lean muscle. Any help is much appreciated

Its better value for money anyway. Maximuscle is over-priced, useless sh1t!

It's as good as optimum nutrition and cheaper so that's makes it better, stay well clear of maximuscle

whey protein is whey protein at the end of the day. Only used to increase protein in the diet. Just avoid the ones with high sugar.

And avoid ones that add taurine and glycine.

Why do ye consider maximuscle to not be good as a matter of interest?

Overpriced, full of crap and ineffective.

Overpriced yes? But the rest of your post is a bit off te mark. Do you really believe one whey protein is better or more effective than another? Or one all in one is more effective than another! Lol

Okay so this is my review from the time I spent using it.

It costs a **** load and simply isn't value for money. I took it each day after training and was always left with a horribly bloated and slightly ill feeling stomach. It didn't honestly taste bad but I suspect that's probably down to sugars/additives. The second I could get off it, I did. My own personal experience.

And to answer your question, yes I do. Take for example, a whey full of crappy additives/sugars to something like whey isolate, which is better?

OP, I think everyone went through a ON phase and most will agree it's very nice taste-wise, it sets in the stomach well and provides 'decent' value for money. But then again, it's also pricey.

Try the protein works, funky flavours, cheap prices too.

How can you compare a whey full of sugars (not even sure what a whey full of sugars is to be honest as if you start adding sugar to a whey then in my eyes it is no longer a whey product??) to a whey isolate? Apples and oranges to compare them.

There is nothing wrong with maximise products. On a like for like basis they are fine. Bar the price!

Ironically ON gives me terrible bloat. Gave away the last 10lb bag I had for nothing.

It depends on the individual and their own GI tolerance, if one brand/powder makes you bloated and feel ****ty, don't use it. I would agree that maximuscle are horrendously overpriced IMO, so I've never used it.

Even the debate of Isolate vs Concentrate (Higher quality vs lower) is moot in my eyes, as the differences are so small.
