Night/Morning before race food

So, I'm doing a 6k race tomorrow and was looking for advice on the food I should be having for dinner and before the race tomorrow (it's on at 12.30).

Also, this is my first race (I'm 16) and was wondering how long most people would take for 6k? I'm doing 7.2k (my local block) in around 36mins (33/34 if I push myself) would this be an okay time?

I appreciate any and all responses.. a bit of pre-race nerves here.

PS: I'm not setting out to win or anything at all like that.. just some fun.

What do you usually eat for breakfast, and what time is the event on at?

The common advice given is you shouldn't change your diet soon before an event. Since it is tomorrow, you should probably go for your regular breakfast.

Personally, my races always started around 10ish, so I'd be up at 8 to have a small bowl of porridge oats (topped with milk and honey) with green tea.
