Final day of the season tomorrow in one of Europe's most compelling leagues. All 12 games kicking off simultaneously at 12.45 and with the division more compressed than ever, there's a lot riding on tomorrow's results. One automatic spot, two playoff places and two relegation berths all yet to be decided. Hold onto your butts! :D

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11713/8687180/Championship-preview
The final day of the regular Championship season is likely to be the most thrilling in years. No fewer than 12 teams have something to play for, be it promotion, a play-off place or survival.

At the top it is all about Hull and Watford. One of them will join Cardiff in the Premier League on Saturday. Victory for Hull against Cardiff will see Steve Bruce's men back in the big time. But if they are held to a draw or lose, and Watford better their result, Gianfranco Zola's men go up.

Four clubs - Crystal Palace, Bolton, Nottingham Forest and Leicester - are battling for the last two remaining play-off spots, where Brighton and either Hull or Watford will join them.

But at the bottom there is an extraordinary set of possibilities - two from six teams will join Bristol City in League One next season. There is only one certainty - a team will be relegated with a record number of points. Barnsley currently occupy the final relegation place with 54 points. The most points a team has needed to survive relegation from the second tier is 53 - in 1996-96 and 2007-08.

Last season, only 41 points were needed to stay up, the same number as bottom club Bristol City have this season.

    Birmingham v Blackburn
    Bolton v Blackpool
    Brighton v Wolves
    Burnley v Ipswich
    C Palace v Peterboro
    Charlton v Bristol City
    Derby v Millwall
    Huddersfield v Barnsley
    Hull City v Cardiff
    Nottm Forest v Leicester
    Sheff Wed v Middlesboro
    Watford v Leeds

Can Wolves pull off the result of the season or will it be footballs "hello Cleveland" moment.

Billy Davies gave his post-match press conference at the same time as his pre-match press conference. :pac:

    Come on Barnsley!

wouldn't be surprised if Wolves went down. Part of the reason I chose to go to Wolverhampton for my tertiary education many moons ago was that they had a top flight football team. By the time I'd left they were in the bottom division. Still good memories in that last season watching Steve Bull tearing defences to pieces.

Hope Hull go up - always had a soft spot for Bruce.
Plus i'm not sure if Watford should be allowed have the 74 players on loan that they have....

Really really really don't want to see Steve Bruce's Play-Doh head back in the Premier League. Come on Watford!

It's very unlikely they'll stay up, hardly something you "wouldn't be surprised" by :pac:

Hope Hull get it ahead of Watford. Watford have been taking the piss with all those loan signings.

Hull v Cardiff is on BBC radio Wales MW if you want to listen to a game and all the scores as they happen.

Forest scores against Leicester, now up to 6th as things stand.

Brighton score against Wolves, trap doors creaks open

Have a sneaky suspicion that Wolves will be relegated

Not a great day for Watford's keepers, their 3rd choice keeper is coming on after originally not being on the bench.

    Fantastic goal for Peterboro

Peterborough score so Millwall in trouble

    Wednesday 2 -0 Boro

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,721 ✭✭✭Al Capwned

Sounds like a serious injury for the Watford keeper... :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,346 ✭✭✭✭homerjay2005

Watford shaping up to be some story. their 3rd choice keeper, who has never played for them and wasnt in the original squad, is now in goals...

their keeper badly injured apparently and this game will finish well behind the others, unless they delay all kick offs for second half?

either way, if Hull dont win and that game stays level, it will be very intersting end.

Could well be 10-15 minutes after FT before Watford game ends.

Bolton 2 down against Blackpool, so not looking like play offs will happen.

14 mins delay in watford v leeds, could be unreal drama.....

FFS 2 nil down already. Sordell coming on for Hall. Pull one back before half time and we'll be a bit stronger.

    Goodbye Wolves 2-0 down

Wolves to fade into obscurity after this.

Ravel scores for Birmingham, in the meaningless game against Blackburn

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Leicester go 2-1 up as well, it is all happening now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,346 ✭✭✭✭homerjay2005

Cardiff fans were just singing 2-0 to the Watford before leeds scored to put them 1-0 up.

great thinking from them to unsettle the Hull players!

looks like a mix up with the young keeper too :(

I don't follow the Championship, but looking at the table I kinda wish I did. 10 points between the playoffs and the relegation zone is epic!
