PC to Macbook?

    Hey everyone!

I'm in the market for a new laptop. In September 2011 I bought a HP Pavilion g6 laptop; it was cheap and it had everything I needed. I wouldn't go for a HP again in the future though, it just wasn't very good overall... And it is starting to get a bit sh*t now so I'll be looking for something new soon. What does everyone think of these laptops?

I'm looking at getting a macbook pro 13-inch. I am a media student at the moment and while it's not exactly a must that I have a macbook, it sure would be nice. Everyone does say that they're great of course, but I'd like some reassurance. Would I be able to get MS Word and all the usual things I'd need for college on it? Downloading college notes that may be in Word or Powerpoint, would it be an issue? Just some general questions really.

Thanks for any input at all at all; feel free to discuss!
    :)

Macbooks are ubiquitous at colleges and universities these days. Unless you are doing a computer related course that forces you buy a particular machine, you won't have any problems.
