Just on the lookout to purchase AutoCAD drawing package. Does anyone have any advice. 2007 version would be fine, but if you were to buy AutoCAD for business would you have to purchase the latest stand alone version worth under €5000. Is there a way you could purchase an older version which is not as expensive?? Any ideas or options for other similar programs would be great, thanks.

I downloaded and played a little with DoubleCAd. Looked very good to me.

Or try DraftSight which imitates AutoCad's structure (.dwg files, commands, etc). It's only got 2D capability but it's free..
