I won't lie to you, It's a very weak looking show tonight.
But this thread won't start itself, so here is tonight's line-up. Brace yourselves ...

Coming up on the show this week Two young entrepreneurs will be in to tell us how they won over the fiercest of Dragon’s to start up their own companies. (Fierce smell of filler about that booking - when you can't get anyone else give someone off Dragons Den a free plug, they will bite your hands off to appear. Apparently they are from Junior Dragons' Den)

One of Ireland’s favourite celebrity couples Brian and Pippa Ormond will be in two weeks after the birth of their of their first baby to tell us how they are taking to parenthood. (Congratulations to them on their baby, but really - does anyone care about these people?)

After settling their case against the HSE this week in the High Court, Sonya, John and Alex Butler will be in to tell their story. (More about their Court Case here)

We will have the unique comedy stylings of everyone's favourite Qatari-Irish funnyman - that's Hamad Al-Amari. He is new to me - a trawl of Youtube returned this clip

Music from country legend Kinky Friedman and he’ll be telling us about his rock and roll lifestyle and his political ambitions. To be fair, he might be interesting, he also is a very witty satirical comedian musician, among other things.

That's about it. Apart from Brendan's jokes at the start. Sure it's worth tuning in just for them alone, isn't it? :P

    Crumbs, that is a weak-looking line-up.

And if you try to explain to the folks at Montrose why Brian and Pippa are not the favourite couple of most ordinary Irish people, and why very few people have heard of Hamad al-Amari (he doesn't even have a Wikipedia page, FGS!), it's more than likely that they'll look at you as though you have two heads...

Sarah Harding is supposed to be on, according to the Indo.

Sarah Harding is supposed to be on, according to the Indo.

If she isn't, then it wouldn't be the first time that the Indo was wrong.    ;);)

That said, if she is, then it wouldn't be the first time that someone appeared on the SNS having not being originally billed...  ;)

Sarah Harding is supposed to be on, according to the Indo.

No mention of her on the official sources. She was lined up according to last week's Sunday World, but it doesn't look like she made it.

@KazzyGA (who is considered to be, like, totally in the know about all things Girls Aloud related) reports IRISH ALOUDERS! Sarah Harding won't be on The Saturday Night Show this weekend :(

It would explain the quality of the line up, Sarah Harding would have been a reasonably big name.

    Ah, stop cofy.......

Brian and Pippa are THE celebrity couple.

The dogs in the street know that.....:)

Will there be the battle for the "Best Mammy and Daddy (of 12 minutes) VIP Award" this year I wonder??????

I don't like to be unnecessarily nasty about people, but ...

Brian Ormond is dull. He isn't a good presenter.

Pippa O'Connor is dull. She looks well but she hasn't much else to offer.

As GHG said, nobody outside RTE is interested. Their attempts to make them into Reality Stars are laughable. They planned a series around their Wedding which was downgraded to a one-off show. It was a mess. There is an audience for fly on the wall reality shows, but you need to have the right subjects.

On the other hand, if it was up to me Brian and Amy would be appointed as joint Monarchs of this country, with Sadie as their heir apparent :P

Jeepers, that's a very weak line up. The only ones I know are Brian and Pippa, and I only know them because I saw them on The Saturday Night Show once!

With that in mind, would it be rude of me to ask the folks here to work just a little harder than usual on their posts, to make it worthwhile? ;-)

    Ahemm....Skid....Last I heard we were living in a Republic.........:confused::P....

On a different note, I remember Brian and Pippa looking at wedding cakes, one with a layer of a box covered in icing........I still laugh at that one.......:pac::pac::pac:

Brendan looked embarrassed reading out the Guestlist during that trailer.

My god, wasn't last night's LLS a hard slog - even by normal standards!

Will Brian Ormond be wearing his usual set of fake joke shop teeth?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,770 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

Nice one, that looks pretty good. Bbc 4 is a great channel (usually) late night on Sat.

Cant believe the SNS has some people who got a deal on Dragons Den as guests. Remarkable. Next they'll have yer one just there who saved on her shopping in Aldi.

    This is a heartbreaking story.

There was a difference of 12 minutes between this lovely little girls birth of her having no disabilities....

I cannot imagine the pain involved for this family.

"Which of these football superstars was born in Portugal - Wayne Rooney, Thierry Henry or Cristiano Ronaldo?"

Jesus Christ. Can't the question setter do better than that?!

you'd wonder why RTE cannot see that he's way better than the LLS incumbent

    Great fantastic parents....

We all groan and grump about things but when we see the bravery of this couple, it pales into insignificance when you hear this....

Thing is, Cristiano Ronaldo was born in Madeira, not Portugal, so none of the answer's are correct!
