Hi. I was just lazing around in the house today and I just randomly thought of doing some push ups for no apparent reason. Down I went and after 20 I felt a sharp pain in my back. I got up and felt fine for some reason. After about 60 seconds I tried to look to my right and felt an excruciating pain in my neck and back. To be more specific, when I look up or to my right I feel a tension in my neck and a pain that runs in a line down the centre of my back and veers off into ny right lat. Did I just pull something in my back? Will I be ok tomorrow? BTW my push up form was excellent so I don't know what the problem is.

    try some of the below

Hello.... you can't be giving medical advice like that on here. Actually you are doing worse. you are advising more movements that could cause further injury.

OP please ignore and seek medical attention if you feel you have injured yourself

    From the fitness charter sticky

No Questions about Treatment of Injuries/ Requesting Medical Advice
As a whole boards.ie does not allow medical discussion and Fitness will be no different. Do not post threads about injuries or when you think you might be injured looking for advice. If you are injured go to a qualified medical professional for help, not the internet. Injuries can be incredibly difficult to diagnose, even when the person you are seeking help from is in the same room as you.

The only time we will allow the discussion of any injuries and how to overcome them is when the OP CLEARLY states in their first post that they have been to a professional, received advice and treatment and are looking for help with a rehab/prehab exercise

No desire to be a mod thanks. Just not a big fan of online medical diagnosis potentially causing further injury. I see you have edited your post anyway. Good man yourself :D
