I want to know what people do here when they get hungry after exercise with the aim of loosing a few kgs especially around stomach area? What do you eat?

I exercise on my indoor bike in the evenings and get very hungry afterwards. I bought a bag of almonds and eat some with a bit of youghart after exercise and bit of chicken. I know less kcals more exercise equals weight loss but i couldnt sustain that starving myself for the night without a bite of food after exercise.

I want to lose about 2kg

    Present diet.

    MORNING:

Bowl of porridage + 3 spoons of youghart
    Green tea and apple.

    AFTERNOON

    Omelette with peppers and rashers
    Green tea, banana.

    DINNER
Chicken with carrots, brocolli, 1 medium pototo.

    BEFORE EXERCISE

    Piece if fruit.

    EVENING after exercise:

Fist of almonds, seasame seeds mixed with youghart, piece of cold chicken.

I would like to lose some belly fat and would like to lose body fat near my abs so that i can see them

    Advice appreciated.

    Thanks.

Can't spot reduce fat, so no point targeting belly/abs in such a manner.

Regarding "Starving yourself," how have you planned the reduction in calories compared to what would be your maintenance amount? You'd expect to feel hungry, but not starving.

Well my training/diet program was interrupted after a motor accident I had. I am trying to get back on track again. I am making some changes to my diet every week to see can I get it right. I havent got it 100% right but I have lost 2kg in over two weeks so I want to lose 2kg more and I will be happy.

I have upped the training a bit so maybe that explains why I am feeling very hungry after exercise. It it ok to eat something like a banana, almonds or natural youghart after?

You can't just lose fat from one particular area (your stomach), you have to reduce your overall body fat % from everywhere.

Figure out your maintenance calories (How much calories you need to consume at your current weight and current level of activity to stay at the same weight) and then reduce this figure. That's how to lose weight.

I always make a point of eating within twenty minutes of finishing a work out or having some carbs between sessions. otherwise i eat far more throughout the day.

the amount of calories burned on a bike can be deceptive. do you track it with a heart rate monitor?
