Problem with elbow pain

    I have a a problem with elbow pain while working out and for a few days after...

    Some background;

    I have been weight training for 2-3 years now. About 5 months ago I was doing tricep pulldowns and I felt something twinge in my elbow. It was slightly sore with no pressure on it, naturally when there was pressure on my arm/elbow the pain was worse. This persisted for about 2 weeks.

    To coincide with this I've had a 'desk' job for about the same amount of time as I've been training and I know you can get these type of injuries from repetitive actions...typing etc.

    I have not done any weigh training for about 6 weeks and naturally the pain is no longer there. I went back to the gym yesterday evening and while bench pressing I could feel a bit of pain again, and today it has persisted.

    I obviously damaged something, as I described above, but I did think after some rest it may go away (probably very foolish :P).

    The pain persists in varying degree's depending on exercise, but pretty much anything that engages my arms (particularly triceps/biceps) causes this pain

    So I wonder has anyone experienced similar or if anyone may know some tips or vitamins etc I should take/do. I know I should probably see a physio and I may do that if it comes too it.

    PS the pain isn't unbearable but it is definitely noticeable and a bit of a distraction/deterrent when I am trying to get the max from my work-outs (it can tend to make me stop a certain exercise, when I could do more)

    Thanks guys
