    Let's not forget that this year Bjorn will have 4 picks for the Ryder Cup. Not all of those picks will be veterans. At least it would be very silly if that was the case. We saw how the Westwood pick flopped last time out.

    Current form should also trump has-beens.
    2016 Ryder Cup
    Thomas Pieters (Captain's pick) .... 4 points
    Lee Westwood (Captain's pick)..... 0 points

    Conditions are perfect. No wind at all. They are all able to go pin hunting.

    Wind starting to pick up now, might be a little tricky for the late players.

    Rory gets the short game and irons working well and today his woods have gone to s**t. Also agree with Radar.. Fisher backing off the whole time is annoying.

    Rory just not hitting enough fairways, that rough is nasty.

    I've been there when they get fog. It crazy, worse than you will ever see in Ireland.

    Very disappointing to see that Sergio Garcia and Jon Rahm have not entered to play in the Spanish Open in the European Tour in 3 weeks time. Just shows how devalued this once fine championship has become when two of Spain's finest golfers do not play in their national open.

    That's a shocker. Would have thought those boys would have played their home competition.

    Isn't Garcia from catalonia? Maybe there's some divide there. Thought they'd done away with the Spanish open.

    Good news that Jon Rahm will play in next week's Open de Espana. It seems that he is a late entrant into the event. No word on whether Sergio Garcia will have a late change of mind and play next week too.

    Gavin Moynihan was playing a blinder in Open D'Espana - 5 under after 13 with 5 birdies and no bogies. He was just 1 off the lead.
    Then he goes and has a 10 on the par 5 14th to bring him back to level par!!!:eek:

    Tough for a rookie. Let's hope he can recover from it.

    ==== Edit ====
    This must have been scored wrong as it's now reduced to a 9. He's finished level par.
