Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If Lowry doesn't win here would love to see Howell do it. Followed him at irish open and he was such a gent. Had such time for the spectators and seemed really genuine

Why are scores so low lads. ?

Pins / Rough not set up for The Open. For Celebs.

I've seen more of Hugh Grant than Shane Lowry - (**** Sake)

Weather has been good last few days. Some of these links play much handier without the wind, etc. Also as you mentioned pin positions have been generous to accommodate the amateurs

Nice hair - now go away. This is meant to be the European Tour.

Here we go Shane last chance of glory on 18...

Regardless it's been good entertainment and great than an Irish man is near the top of a leaderboard.

    Up Offaly!

Always makes the viewing more enjoyable when an Irishman is in contention.

A bit too friendly a chat.

Too much money, nearly as bad as footballers. A bit too relaxed for me .

Nah I just think Howell is an extremely nice chap and respectable nothing wrong with that type of chat. Both are gentlemen.

At 176th in the rankings & winless since 06, I'd say Howell could do with a few quid...

In 20 years on tour he has earned 12 million. Just in europe.
He had a job on the side when he had earned so much his golf dropped off.

I think that is a problem for some of them . Motivation is not as easy when you have earned a few million a couple of years in a row.

Garcia is the ultimate of that.

Anyway nice bloke, but there is no way he was on the breadline.

I think Howell is a good guy, and he's a really good commentator. Of course we won't have him in commentating in Dubai, which is a pity for us, especially if they decide to bring in Monty instead!

I thought it was great to see Uihlen and Howelly having a chat on their way up the 19th. Brilliant to see.

delighted for Howell - Absolutely love him as a player. Comes across as a real genuine chap

This is one of my favourite Howell moments :D

Yes, I am a massive Howell fanboi! :D

Speaking of McGinley, its good to see him back in a bit of form with 3 top 30s in his last 3 appearances. It seems the captaincy seems to be inspiring some good vibes on the course.

Really hope David Higgins has a good week in the Portugal Masters and gets another crack at the tour next year.

Peter Lawrie is already struggling, be good to see Higgins get a Top 15 here and would be good to see Shane continue his form.

Lawrie and Higgins are both off to Australia next week as well.

-2 after 13 holes, lets hope he can finish out this round and have a steady one tomorrow. Lots of Irish doing well at the moment. Early days but good to see.
