    Hi all,

I'm a 28 year old male. I keep in good shape in the gym and my diet is, to be honest so/so...Some days i eat well (i.e. white meat, veg, salads) , but do drink sugary drinks and eat chocolate crisps etc.

I notice that i have dark circles under my eyes alot and a paleness off my complexion. In order words i don't think i look as healthy as i could.

Can anyone recommend vitamins, diet improvements to help look a bit healthier?

    Thanks.

Probably worth a trip to the doctors for a blood test before the internet throws wild possibilities at you.

What are your sleeping patterns like? Could be as simple as not getting proper rest?

i would say between 7 and 7.5 hours per night...less over the weekend.

Would be similar to myself at the moment and personally I know I am not getting enough sleep to sustain training, work etc

I think if you try get a week or two with slight increase in sleep (8-9 hours if possible) should see improvement

If you know your diet is so then due something about it.
When you eat, you take the nutrients for the food and your internal/vital organs will get the nutrients first since they're already closer and obviously more vital so your skin is the last part to get the nutrients, as well as harmful things - they aren't just magically filtered out or ignored.

So either you're eating something you shouldn't or not eating something you should. Even if that's not the case and there is something that a GP visit can tell you, improving your diet is going to help regardless.

I never considered myself worryingly pale but certainly paler than is good and healthy to be. After cutting out things like processed sugar, gluten and dairy I have a much better colour to my skin (even areas that had gotten very little sun exposure), more even and no dark circles - I actually sleep a little bit less than I used to.
