I know I can highlight text vertically in word by holding alt and highlighting downwards but it wont let me highlight a single column of letters. Every time I hold alt and highlight a single column of letter and let go of mouse button the highlight goes and the research window on side comes up. I was able to stop the research window coming up but I still dont know how to highlight the single column of letters. It will allow me to highlight two columns side by side but not one
