Use each number once and once only..
    Each number must be used.

    2, 3, 4, 5 = 28 how?

Don't post the answer if you get it.
Pm me if you want it

People answering will still kill the thread.

There are multiple solutions - perhaps you could define what operations you're suggesting people use?

    3²+4 times 5 =28

    (4 x 5) + 2 cubed (which would be a lil' 3) = 28.

    It's incredibly simple.
You don't need to Square anything.

Purely use addition multiplication and subtraction.

    3²+4 times 5 =28

I think you mean two cubed rather than three squared

Take the diagonal part of the number 4 away and it becomes a plus sign.

Then you don't even have to change the order of the numbers or do anything else and it's right.

    2 3 + 5 = 28

Here's one while we're at it.

    You have

    a. A weighing balance
    b. 9 balls

8 of the balls are the same weight, one is heavier than the others.

Question: What is the least number of times you can think of using the weighing balance to determine which ball is of a heavier weight?

Rachel and Susie are still there and that's good enough for me.

(Who can write the question in better English than that please?)

I originally thought 5, but you can probably group them together and do it fewer times
    2 or 3
