It's the UN Chinese Language Day. The "blaze" the OP is referring to is probably lighting some Chinese lanterns, which they will alight as they sing some celebratory Chinese folk songs with their guitars and drums.

If you are 420-friendly (i.e. not racist), you should also considering celebrating Chinese language and culture this Saturday.

I'll be getting up and making the most of a blissful free Saturday. An opportunity to eat, check out something cultural going on in the city, get some exercise, chill out with a good walk along the coast, play a sport, read a book, check out a gig, try to cook something new and exciting. Infinite possibility.
