Advice for Newbie

    Hi Folks,

Appreciate any help/advice anyone may be able to give me.

I recently got a gift of bench, barbell and dumbells and I am looking at developing an overall training programme.

I currently exercise approx. 3 times a week with 2/3 bootcamp sessions and one jog/run (5miles).

I currently am about 13.5 stones and 5'8".

I am ideally looking to lose some weight and tone up my body. I am not sure if the bootcamp sessions necessarily marry to well with a weights workout, I have had it suggested that the cardio nature of bootcamp would just burn any muscle gain. I was thinking of combining 2 days bootcamp with something similar to this http://www.workout-x.com/fitness/workout-plan-details/34/Full-Body-Beginner-s-Workout

Would anyone have any opinion if this would be effective?

Would it be benificial to take any supplements - post/pre workout? Currently use none.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
