    Bangeromics rules:
    Under €2000 - YES
    Valid NCT - YES
Something you'd actually drive yourself - I already am.
VRT paid - On Irish reg already.

The main point being the NCT though, I'm not sure when it expires so hard for me to judge.
I may be wrong, but wasn't there a min amount of time the NCT needed to be valid for it to a bangernomic?

Think a 406 HDI is worth risking the trip for

the test is expiring any minute now and the owner states in the advert why it won't pass another. it would be stupid to buy this as a bangernomic.

it's a fixer upper. or for the heap.

It doesn't require much work and it's super cheap. Also, it still fits within the thread rules. :)

The colt has steelies one side alloys on the other. It's hardly fixerupper of the week let alone banger of the month :).

it requires work though and its nct is as good as up. Sorry but that's far from bangernomics.

Nice e46, looks like it's had a cooling system overhaul which is a necessity on them.

Looks lovely and clean but i'd like to see the spec on it, no point buying a low spec e46 when there are plenty around with decent spec

The NCT is out this month on that colt.

It's more down to cheap build quality imo as none of these or lancers seem to age very well. Civics and corollas of the same vintage age and last much better.

'05 Volvo S80, low miles, high spec, belt just done, NCT 08/15, asking €1,950

Needs a valet and some hard negotiation - owner needs cash - potential bargain of the month :D

Nice and well priced Volvo. If it was black and perhaps an S40 or S60, it would be amazing. :)

So if it was a different car and a different colour it would be amazing????

That's a serious car for the money. I'd have it in the morning if circumstances allowed

Even with the small mark on the wing, this still sounds a bit too good to be true. http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/toyota-corolla-nct-taxed/6710783

S40, S60 and S80 are pretty much the same cars, just one is bigger than the next.

Get the reg and check it..... you'll notice it doesn't show in the images. I checked another Meath based car who's advert was almost identical, taxed and NCT'd until next year, FSH etc. It claimed one owner and had 6.
Another car claimed the same, couldn't get the reg from the seller- eventually told me it was sold.... when it wasn't.

The s40 is not a true Volvo though. The first generation s40 was based on a Mitsubishi charisma with both shared some engines, including some Renault running gear.

The mk2 s40 shared a platform with the ford focus and Mazda 3. Underneath it bore more of a resemblance to a ford than it ever did a Volvo and engines were shared again.

I think its too good to be true myself. It would be some bargain if genuine though :)

I've seen a ton of those style ads on DD last few days. Always the same description, same photos everytime, numberplate is never shown.

All these outlandish claims of FSH, taxed for a year, 1 owner. Why wouldn't you photograph all this? The phone would be ringing nonstop and you'd sell the car in an hour.

Same style ad, always an 085 number. Always around the 1000 euro price. It was a Golf first, then a Focus, now it's a Corolla.

    It is 100% a scam.

I bought a "will sail through NCT" car. Do you think it did?

Anyone in the right mind would send the car through NCT themselves and get a couple hundred euro on top, if it was good enough to pass. I suppose there could be some extremely rare exceptions though.

What exactly was wrong with it? I've been tempted by a few of these ones.

Build probably not as good but I wouldn't call it cheap. More a case of poor ownership than poor build quality. Good ones do exist. Rizee on here bought a nice colt recently too.
