Before i have to tax it again, I'd let this go for €1,999.99 (So its worthy of this thread) and not a penny less.

BMW 520 76k miles, NCT, Tax & it is MINT.

Opinions on this Ford Ka? Doesn't bother me about styling but it has AC / EW / PS, new tyres, 6 months tax / 1 year NCT so looks good to me.

You can do far worse than that for your €600-€650 or so :)

Reliable little cars, good to drive and reasonable poke. The engine is ancient, but this is no bad thing as it is bomb proof (but don't buy it if it sounds too "tappety"). Doesn't need a timing belt change either. Not the most frugal to run, but who cares about an extra €5 at the pump with such a cheap car and with 6 months tax too?

just be careful for rust underneath as fords of this era were notiorious for it.. see if you can get it up on a lift or something..

No need. Car just passed the NCT, so I'm sure there's nothing terribly bad under there :)

    Edit: Meant tax, not test

The last Kent OHV, much like the 105E Anglia. Happy days! :D

Well I got caught out with a rusty uk import 1.7 Puma here with a recent NCT and gleaming red paintwork..only after did I realise you could poke a screwdriver up through part of its sills and floorpan:(

A friend only last month bought a 00 uk imported fiesta and lucky for him he was able to get a refund when similiar rust uncovered..

now im assuming that KA is a UK import too with such a high reg plate for Louth and I wouldnt:eek: touch it with a bargepole on that principle.. once bitten, twice shy.

RE those Kas, I've had about 3 and I'm yet to see one without rust, especially at the filler cap. **** on petrol too (IMO). Fiesta or something else I say.

Tbh the nct is no indicator of a rust free car :) I've seen cars with large amounts of rust underneath passing the nct. As long as there is no holes present it will pass, it could still well be rotten though.

I'm kindof on the lookout for a well minded e39 to LPG and run as my daily.

Would prefer manual for fun reasons, but would consider the above.
(once my skoda sells of course - more on that as it develops)

After driving my Legend for a week she has taken a liking to big cars. It'll be a step up from a Daihatsu Sirion, and she can only drive auto.

The Legend I posted lecently keeps popping to mind, though...

Your car would sell a lot quicker / for closer to the asking price if you get it NCTd (can be done 3 months early, so you can do it now) :)

I must have missed something - you sold a 535d and bought a Skoda diesel instead?

No wonder you want to sell it on :pac:

Your gonna miss the cheap tax though :D

    1996 Audi A6
    2.0 Petrol, manual
    130k Miles
    NCT 3/15, no tax
    €900
Alright, so its not the prettiest, but a full years NCT seems promising.

Would an LS 400 or GS 300 be any good???.

Could do. I'm not sure how insurance would differ from a 520i (mid 20s, 4 years NCB). And of course one 3.0+ tax bill is big enough.

    1994 Mercedes 230
    2.3 Petrol, auto
    190k Miles
    NCT 10/14, no tax
    €1000
Big old barge, reliable and with loads of test.

Yes - forgot for a moment you have one 3.0 litre plus car already :(

If I had that st205 I would never put those stickers on it.

A white one?!? Sure the work is half done!
If you're going to buy something like that, might as well go balls deep.

Jason O'Brien Car Sales back again with more cheap barges.

    2001 Jaguar X Type
    2.5 Petrol, manual
    94k Miles
    NCT 8/14, taxed
    €1250
I guess a solid offer of €1k would take it away. Not bad for a Jag.

Like. Not sure what your problem with the wheels is though?

Maybe I am old-fashioned (or just old), but if I saw large rims, and therefore low-profile tyres, on a car like this, I would be thinking back pain - or at the the very least spilled coffee or complaints from passengers...
