Just moved to the area, thinking of joining this gym. Anybody used it and have any feedback?

Mostly worried about it being over crowded, or lacking in a decent free weights section.

Yep I'm a member there now for a few years & I think it's a good solid gym. Freeweights area is quite good without being amazing. It has a squat rack, two smith machines, two bench press stations, one inclined BP station, two decent 'double' cable stations, various leg-press machines, two lat pull down stations & plenty of DBs and free-standing benches...

Lots of classes etc & I find the staff are a good bunch. Pool area is nice, there is separate men/women spa areas which both have a sauna, jacuzzi, caldarium & steam room...

If you drop in & ask for a tour they'll give u one no prob & if u need a guest pass drop me a PM, I'm sure I have one...

Price wise, I suppose it's averagely priced at about 390 a year.

Has its busy times, certainly, which are usually weekdays from 5.30 to 7.0pm or so

    Cheers for the feedback.

I'll probably be mostly using it late in the evening, around 9ish. I don't get home from work till 7 weekdays anyway so the busy times shouldn't effect me so much, hopefully.

I don't mind the price so much, the place I work subs gym and sports club membership.

I'll probably just bite the bullet and go for it, don't think I'll bother with a tour. I think it's the only gym for a good bit around that has a pool so as long as it's not a dive it'll have to do.

Ah well in that case you'll be happy enough - if you're not getting there til 9 you'll near enough have the place to yourself!

Yup, it's a grand gym - gets busy about 5-8, but otherwise plenty of space etc to go around. As said, decent enough free weights area. Pool, jacuzzi, sauna. Make sure you haggle, you should be able to get a decent enough price.

Whoa - twilight zone stuff - I just phoned this gym to get a price for 'standard membership'.

The guy who answered the phone seemed to think I was one of his mates having a laugh - he put the phone down and picked it back up and then pretended to be someone else!

Then he tells me that the price of membership is 2,500 euros!

Then he tells me that he can't tell me the price of membership.

    Did that really happen?

Jesus, I guess I won't bother with that place, so.

    That's very strange.

Just to update my op since this has been resurrected. I joined in the end. The gym has decent equipment and facilities but I didn't renew my membership when the year was up because it's just too overcrowded. Even when it wasn't that busy the one and only proper squat rack was always occupied which was very frustrating. Wouldn't recommend if weights are your main interest. For everything else it is pretty good tho.
