Glandular fever so need to change up diet..

Went to the doctor yesterday and there's a strong chance I have glandular fever but need to wait for blood tests to confirm it. I was advised to stop my "intense" training as he described, and went on to say no more gym or rugby.

I'm 17 years old, 5'8", 68kg. And up until recently was doing 4 proper workouts a week, and then one or two runs on alternate days. The workouts were, two gym sessions led by one of the rugby coaches (ex-saracens player, so quite intense), and two one and a half hour rugby training sessions a week.

Last two weeks I wasn't feeling up to doing anything physical and ended up running unfortunately under 30km over the two weeks, and upper body and core workouts only a handful of times.

Turns out this lull could have been due to glandular fever, which will last up to 8 weeks, so I need to drastically change my diet to suit a less active lifestyle.
I was thinking I could cut for the next two months as I was aiming to hit a sustainable weight at a very low body fat % because the rugby season is over for me.

It's hard to give an approximation of my diet but basically, I don't drink tea or coffee, and I am partially lactose intolerant so the only diary I consume is from scrambled eggs (made with semi skimmed milk, 3 eggs 2 yokes usually.)

I don't drink any fizzy drinks, or really any chocolate-y things although from time to time I do snack, but well within what I think is an acceptable amount, especially given the fact that I'm 17. I was eating far too many acidic fruits and had to tone that down as per orders from my dentist (enamel was wearing away on a couple of teeth) but that was probably for the best as there is a lot of sugar in apples (was having about 5 a day without even noticing.) So basically what I'm saying there is I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.
I don't think I have any big problems with my diet as I was, other than just not counting calories and eating bigger portions less frequently, rather than every 3 hours or so to quicken my metabolism.

I just eat home cooked meals which are quite healthy as my family all eat well, but I can't count calories for those.

I don't take any supplements other than a multivitamin and iron tablet (should probably look at getting calcium supplements seeing as I don't actually consume much diary at all.)

I would really appreciate if someone could talk me through what I should change to not put on a mass of weight while not working out for this period of time. I know it's only glandular fever but there is no way I'll be able to keep up my regular lifestyle with it so I want to have a plan in place to minimize any setback to my body.

I didn't really know what to include so if there is more information needed about anything, please ask and I'll fill in the blanks. Thanks
