Not receiving (some) email notifications

For the last couple of months I am not receiving notifications of new posts in all threads I am subscribed to/following. I probably get email notifications of new posts in about 80% of the time when new posts appear in the subscribed threads.

Its not the end of the world as I can go into my list of subscribed threads and check there but when it slips off the front page of that list it gets a tad more difficult to find.

Same behaviour for me. I find it's usually biggish threads that it happens to, but it's pretty irregular, so hard to pin down.

I use http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/usercp.php, it shows only followed threads with unread posts in them.

Definitely hard to pin down as I didn't get an email notification of your post.

Yeah, that's what I was referring to above and that's how I spotted a new post in this thread.

The there is a record of you being sent an email at 10:19:23 this morning, the exact time of the post by 28064212 in this thread. As you can see it was completed, that means Google took control of the mail and accepted it from us. After that it's out of our control, check your spam folder or filters

I got an email at 10:46 saying there were 2 new posts. But there are other threads that Im not getting email notifications for.


Thanks for looking into this Danny and what I'll do is use this thread to post details of anything else that arises today or tomorrow.

• been more than 10 minutes so I don't think it's just delayed
• definitely not in spam or otherwise filtered
• I'm definitely subscribed for 'Instant' notification
• I definitely visited the thread since the previous post

Thoughts? Was an email generated for me for that post?

Nope, I've nothing for you at that time. Let me check which webnode that post was made on and make sure there's nothing funny with the MTA on it.

I got an email there regarding the post above so as Danny said there may not be anything wrong with this thread. It did take google 25 minutes though to deliver an earlier email I referred to above

The webnode responsible for that post has no issues with mailing people, it's doing it all morning. However nobody subscribed to that thread received an email.

We'll do our best to look into this as soon as we can, if you have any more examples please post them here and we might be able to identify a pattern.

Okay then.

No email notification in respect of post no.1120 in this thread which was at 17:36 this evening. Its now 19:29

Edit/ there was an earlier post at 16:53 which I didnt receive an email from either. Also just to clarify that the email account I use is for Boards only and nothing else so any notifications received cant go missing.

Edit 2/just after getting an email in respect of post no. 1121 which was only 2 minuted ago.
