Figaro 1 ltr turbo.no rust but paint faded. running perfect, timing belt and service done. quick sale no NCT needs some small repairs:eek:

I reckon it has serious rust issues.

Crashes I'd say, bonnet is a different colour and the suspension looks off.

if its not too bad, thats a great price, these are sought after.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,728 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

It's less than half the price the tend to ask though, there had to be something gone pretty wrong on it.

If you buy that for €1500 you're tlking at least that again to put it right I'd wager. And parts wouldn't be easy to find or cheap.

It's like a patchwork quilt. Rust, damage, missing/damaged chrome trim.

I bet the roof is shagged and leaking which will mean the interior is probably fecked too.

    All of this = MONEYPIT

Wonder what this needs, 3dr Tipos are pretty rare.

I love how the Fiats of old had a speedo that couldn't go below 10mph :D
I may be wrong, but I believe that 1.4 engine can be turbo'd.

judging by the profile of people you see driving these id imagine the wheels are kerb'd to the hilt and that the bumpers are 90% filler / overspray at this stage. cleaning the sludge out of the engine from it not being serviced ever and hoping the turbo hasnt eaten itself, repair all the door dents and rust and youd probably be talking 2-3 k easily to make it roadworthy.

Very close to the reg of the Tempra here....!

More than likely they can't get bits or the doors are rusty

And yes that's the same 1372 engine as the Punto turbo.... The 1581 block is the same just with a bigger bore.... ;)

The arches? No, they are aftermarket clip-on (or unfortunately, more often screw-on) chromed steel pieces.

They become structural when the wheel arches corrode underneath so they hold them together.

That's what I was getting at!

No doubt it maybe but try not to loose sight of the fact that you cannot legally put the car on the road until it passes NCT. What I'm saying is the tax may not be of much use if you cannot out the car on the road due to NCT. Still, tis €375 if it didn't pass the NCT its not the end of the world

You'd get one with a fully functioning gearbox for that money though.

That looks like a petrol base model. I bought an '05 T4 model D4D there recently with the same issue for 1700.
