Cost of a root canal?

Hi, I'm just back from the dentist and I need a root canal. Does anyone know roughly how much this will cost? It's for the LL7 tooth. I wasn't at my normal dentist so I wasn't given a price, just given a temp filling!

The average cost of a molar root canal which is what you require is approx 450 to 500 euro, done by a general dentist.
If it is done by an endodontist (dentist who specialises in doing root canals) you might expect to pay in the region 700 to 800.
Some endodontists do still charge over a grand but in this case you will definitely be overpaying.
