Does Anyone Feel the Same?

Does one ever think that we encounter many inconveniences in life and feel as though someone is up there making sure that we have a bad day. Like the other day I was filling out an online application, and I'd to save it continuously, and the only time I forgot to save it was the time I hit the wrong 'back' button to realize the web page had expired and I'd lost it all.
I was so angry that I didn't even know how to react!

I know of course that if I thought about this deeper I'd probably realise that it's not true. Any time something lucky does actually happen, I just kind of think to myself, 'great' and then take it for granted as oposed to dwelling on it, like I would if it were bad luck. Things this unlucky often happen to me several times a day. If I'd time I'd nearly make a list of all the unlucky things that happen to me verses the lucky things to prove that I'm sligthly unlucky

If you convince yourself that you're an unlucky person then you're more likely to run into 'bad luck' .. It's a self-fulfilling thing

Totes, like yesterday, I wanted to have soup and brown bread but there was like only white bread there, sometimes I wonder why I even bother. :(

And then you have people in Africa with no drinking water complaining when you have to suffer like that, they have some nerve.

Most people would consider messing up an online application as an inconvenience, rather than evidence of cosmic forces conspiring against them.

That is the result of cause and effect. Luck doesn't come into it. I don't even believe in the concept of luck.

It's all relative anyway. I like the old saying 'Bad luck is like an earthquake, when the worst is over you realise how lucky you really are'.

Took me a while to figure it out but I think it's:

Like this if you cried every time five ever (that's one more than forever).

A piss take on facebook and the OP.

As far as i can make out: Like this if you cried very (unknown) forever (or sever, I'm not too sure), then i the brackets it says "that's one mister dan forever"

in short I don't know what they said!!!

*EDIT*: Damn, other post got in before me and made way more sense than my attempt :D

However I have a genuine problem with reloading form pages to the point I usually fill information out in a text document first to avoid this problem :P I'm not even sorry

Bad luck? You forgot to save it. It was your doing.

There's no such thing as bad luck. Most day to day stuff is within our control. Fatalism is ridiculous. I'd consider myself to be a lucky person overall but I can list off stuff I mess up on a daily basis. I put it down to my own carelessness and not some cosmic force and I learn from it and move on (most of the time). It depends on your attitude and if you're capable of seeing the bigger picture.

I understand the need to wallow sometimes but it does you now good. No sirrr.

Meh, I don't tend to blame God or anything like that when I have a bad day. Such incidents can usually be traced back to human stupidity.

For example, in the OP's case, why the f*ck has no one yet invented a web browser which saves form data in the cache literally as you type it, so that even if the entire machine loses power, whatever you were typing out is stored in a file on the physical hard drive for the next time you go back to it?

Or what about a computer which, if crashed, takes an image of whatever's in the RAM and stores it, and the next time you power it on you have the option to literally put the RAM back exactly as it was before the reboot?

That kind of thing would be extremely easy to implement and yet for some reason nobody's done it. Not exactly something you can blame God or Fate for, that's simple laziness on the part of other human beings :p

There are hundreds of little things like this which could be easily made a hundred times more convenient and yet for some reason never have been.

This will prevent you losing info put into almost any form, for Firefox/Chrome/Safari:
    http://getlazarus.com/
    Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/lazarus-form-recovery/

Am still in the habit of writing stuff out in notepad first anyway, but that's still a lifesaver sometimes (and is good for looking back at history of what you put in forms before).

Did read some survey before that about 20% of the population consider themselves in a permanent state of bad luck, nothing ever will go right for them as if something is against them in life. True of false, hell knows!

I know what you're saying, but certain things........
Like at the weekend I was doing the shopping with my dad and the lecturer of a module I dropped out of was queuing at the till behind us, which was sort of awkward.. because to him it didn't make any sense after pleaded with him last yr for the course.

Then, 5 mins later he was in the main hallway looking at the notice board, & my dad(who of course didnt recognise him) walked over to the notice board too, to take a look, which never happened before. Talk about awkwardness. Could it have been anyone else in a aisle of 100 people. I just walked off towards the car knowing he'd catch up, and when he did(just when i thought it was over) he said "you can't just walk off like that without telling me, that's a poor social habbit....... blah blah"

jeez barbara, i was only joking around, relax. I wasn't even directing that comment at you

You overthought it way too much. Your former lecturer probably didn't even recognise you. And as for a smart mouth, you posting in AH, not Personal Issues.
