Cycle of The Lakes

    The cycle of the Lakes event being run as part of the Sixmilebridge Complex “Fit Whit” weekend. 2013 sees the inclusion of a 120k elite cycle. It will follow a very scenic routes through the hills and valleys of south-east Clare taking in stunning views of many of the beautiful lakes in that region. It will also pass near such historic landmarks as Craggaunowen, Dromoland Castle, Quin Abbey and other well-known sites.

    The 100 K cycle and 120k elite cycle will start at 10 o’clock on the morning of Saturday, 1st June, followed by the family fun cycle at 12 noon around the village of Sixmilebridge, County Clare.

    The 100k and 120k cycles attract participants from all over Munster and further afield.

    We are pleased to announce that this years event will not only be raising funds for the local community but will also be supporting Bunratty Search & rescue, The Irish Cancer Society and Special Olympics!

    This was a fantastic event, with much higher numbers than our first year in 2012. Plans being made for next year already
