Sure why not. I might ask them for some more interior shots though, just to be thorough. :D

How old are you? How long have you had your full license? where do you live? how much do you use the car? will it be parked in secure parking or the street?

It's probably bes to ring the insurance companies and ask. Either that or lay off the potential trolling. ;)

at least its in the "cheaper" tax bracket
Tax Band Annual Half Year Quarter Year Arrears (Per Month)

    Lovely motor all the same

In front of Howth Castle, on the way up to Deer Park

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,106 ✭✭✭dar83

It's Deep Park in Howth I think, because it's generally Beshoff Motors who take their pictures there and it's literally across the road from where their garage is. :)

Edit: just too late, well played sir! ;)

    This is purely my opinion.
If you have to question insurance or tax on a sports car of that price range and how much it will be, you probably can't afford it.

Responses like this absolutely wreck my head. Its perfectly reasonable to ask such a question, some people are willing to dedicate more money to certain things in their life.

If someone were to quit smoking (20 per day) for example they would probably be able to tax and insure this car with the money they saved.

Rubbish, the car is 30k and insurance + tax could easily cost 15% of that a year. In 3 years the OP could have paid 12-15k in tax and insurance and another 4-5k on servicing and tyres. They are as relevant as the price of the car.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,544 ✭✭✭Hogzy

Just got a quote from Aviva for myself for the laugh. €1454 per year. Ill be honest, i thought it would have been alot more. Im only 25.

    EDIT: Thats Fully Comp obviously
    3rd Party is ¨€1050

Not too many E92 M3s about in this country especially 2008 or newer.

I honestly think insurance is not the most expensive thing to worry about when running one of these cars. Proper servicing, maintenance/repairs, etc are not cheap on these cars but once you can handle those things then ownership should be very enjoyable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,196 ✭✭✭flyguy

    Pity about the red interior...
What about an M5? plenty of them around for less money, nice V10 as well. Not as good a drive probably...

Not to mention fuel and the fact the price of it is really only going in one direction. I really want to own something like this at some stage in my life. Even if its for a year or two. I just want to get it out of my system before I settle down and buy something sensible.

I think the interior colour makes it.

Yep, you won't run one of these cars on a shoe string budget but there are alot of them out there especially E46 M3s that were bought as trophies during the Celtic Tiger that have been poorly maintained since the economic down turn.

Yeah should be. I have a golf gti

    Insurance will be double approx
Motor tax will be 2.5 times the GTi
Fuel won't be as bad as you think, the gti will only be about 33% better so if your current driving style gets you 30mpg in the gti, you will get 20 in the E92 M3, also adjust down/up as required.

Servicing will be a bit more as the M cars need a very specific oil and I would be changing it more often than what the idrive tells you.

But at the end of it you will have a far that is 10 times the car the gti is, so all worth it, best of luck OP :D

Beshoffs are highly regarded in regards their history with the M3. They have had many fine used examples of E46 and E92 through their doors i wouldnt have any issue purchasing from them.

But as an aside i believe the OP is trolling.

    "I dont like white autos"

What does that even mean ?

I dont like white cars & I don't like autos, but neither on their own are deal breakers? Together it's a worst case scenario :p

You'll get bored with it soon enough, unless you're a pimp obviously. Seriously!? red interior!? 2013!?
Looking for another car at the moment myself (not as nice as the OP) and the brand/model usually comes with leather, but if it's red it's an automatic no (not acceptable for the exterior either btw, unless it's a Ferrari;-). I guess different tastes and all that...

So "I don't like white cars"

LOL yeah the way you use the word class really defines the word doesn't it:-)
Btw what's so confusing about: don't like white autos? In the first post he asks what you think of this auto. Probably as in automobile... So here's the translation: I don't like white CARS

As far as im concerned the OP isnt actually looking for an E92 M3. But here we are discussing it anyway.

Did you see what he drinks daily!!!! Plus he drinks water on top of that and takes salt tablets to increase thirst!!!!! Sorry but I call troll. I'm surprised he has time to breathe in between drinking fluids and looking for M3's.

Aside from the 5 eggs a day, I liked this bit too:

I left out my drinks actually. I have the following
    4 500ml banana smoothies
    2 litres milk
    4 bottles jones soda
    1 litre apple juice
    1 litre pineapple juice

Does sugar not = calories though ?
Good job he doesnt take suger in his tea though.

To the point of the thread, as nice as the E92 M3 is, at 35k hard to justify against the more powerful 16k M5s floating around these days.
