    Hi all,

I am extremely over weight - over 20 stone and have began a programme to lose weight and so far so good. I walk 3 times a week for half an hour.

I want to try one of the above mentioned exercise classes bit my only concern is being able and fit enough for it. Am I mad to even try something like kettle bells or trx? Should I wait until I have lost a considerable amount of weight?

Kettle bells can be as hard or as easy as you like.

Trx is a different story, and without good core strength & a reasonable amount of upper body strength, it would be hard to support 20 stone.

    I'd say:
    1. Sort out the diet
    2. Start adding in some extra low intensity exercise like walking
    3. Give a kettlebell class a go & do what you can.

All of this! A decent Kettlebell's/CrossFit/any class instructor should scale the class appropriately especially if it's newbies coming into a mixed level class! Where are you based OP & someone will be able to advise you of where to go!
