I have one steel mag and three or four plastic ones the metal one is much better in my opinion i have broken a plastic one in the past, the steel one is bomb proof. I will replace the plastic ones over time it's a shame they are so expensive.

Where are you getting them from...? I'll be getting two so perhaps we could split shipping...?

The cz shop seems to be the cheapest for them that I can find.

Anybody else interested? Shipping would be much cheaper if we did sort of group buy...
    I'd get 2 metal 5 shot mags...

I'd be interested in getting a few 5/10 shot mags if there was a group buy going on.

Sorry lads what is the price of them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,287 ✭✭✭Chiparus

Are you sure they will ship to Ireland, I previously tried to buy a magazine in the UK and they refused to ship without an export license

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 240 ✭✭damanloox

Well... I'm not 100% sure but worth a try. All prices here http://www.shop-cz.com/rimfire-cz-magazines/c-1220/.

If there was 4-5 interested - we could probably get Economy delivery for EUR 48,12 (as listed on their pages). That's EUR 10 per person which wouldn't be that bad...
So - if anybody's interested please stick a mesage in this thread listing what you want and how much.
    So far we have:
    German pointer: 2 x 10 round, metal
    damanloox: 2 x 5 round, metal
Canav duck buster 3 z 5 round, metal

Again - if the list grows to 5 people - I'd need advance payment (PayPal or bank transfer). I think we'd divide shipping equally (unless somebody wants 10 magazines which will probably increase shipping cost ;))

If somebody else wants to take care of the order/money - I don't mind at all ;)

Great to see interest in this, fair play! Put me down for 3 x 10 Shot .22lr mags, plastic. Let me know total and how to forward payment when you get things sorted. Cheers! :)

    Gents,

Looks like it's just 4 of us. Are you happy with splitting shipping between 4 (that'll probably be around E 15)?
If so - please let me know the caliber and how you want to pay (I prefer PayPal but you'd have to cover their fee. Bank transfer will also work)...

Bank transfer for me as I don't have a pay pal account. Are you including postage within Ireland to send them on to each of us?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 240 ✭✭damanloox

Good point... Can you also include your location? I'm based in Dublin. I'll ask CZ shop for exact shipping cost and will try to calculate exact cost. Ill split the shipping (including shipping in Ireland) and will split equally between all of us.

That's not a bad price as they are 36 euro from the cz site.

Sounds good. My mags are for a .22lr and I'm based in Wicklow. PM your paypal address and I'll get the funds to you when you have a total worked out.

Although Parcel Motel says that the "Prohibited Goods" include "FIREARMS, WEAPONRY, AMMUNITION AND THEIR PARTS" but there's no harm in asking if that includes empty magazines. As the Parcel Motel point of delivery is within the UK, it'd mean free shipping, so it's worth your while asking nicely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 240 ✭✭damanloox

Still expensive (even with free shipping) - £49 for 10 round steel mag... £40 for 5 round steel mag...
I asked CZ shop for a shipping quote - let's see what the answer is (if any)...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 240 ✭✭damanloox

I have a response from CZ. Shipping cost for all the items (including 2 x 10 shot .17hmr mags for vapour_trail) is 37.78 Euro plus 1 Euro Bank fees (they need money transfer which I can do).
If you're still interested - please send me a PM with your email. I'll forward you the quote from CZ shop (so that we're all clear on the same page). Postage in Ireland would be 6.5 Euro standard post or 10 Euro for registered letter.
This is what I asked for:
    German pointer: 2 x 10 round, metal
    damanloox: 2 x 5 round, metal
Cavan duck buster 3 z 5 round, metal
    223Shooter: 3 x 10, plastic
    vapour_trail: 2 x 10, plastic.17hmr

Send me a PM if you're still interested - include your location (collection possible in Citywest or City centre) and email address.

    Hi GP,
I recently emailed Riflemags reference purchase of 455/452 mags (2x5shot plastic). The postage to Ireland would be £3 for anything up to £46 and £9 for anything over £46.At £22.95 each I don't think you will get better value than that. Now I did not mention anything about gun licence but neither did they.
I hope to buy in 2 weeks time approx, so I hope everything goes as smoothly as the emails.

    Gents,

emails sent out. Still waiting for Cavan duck buster though...
I'll send the money today to speed things up. Please dont' let me down and send your share as I don't really need a shed full of CZ mags ;))
I hope all the figures are clear - if in doubt - ask (I'm not making a single cent on all this but I could make a mistake - it's still early morning and I'm just having a coffee ;))

Anyway - fingers crosses... I'll be updating the thread if/when needed...

223Shooter, German pointer - got the money - thanks.
Still waiting for vapour trail ;)
I sent the money yesterday. It'll probably take 2-3 days for the international transfer to reach CZ. I'll keep you updated.

Due to my (apparently wrong...) assumption I will have three 5-shot metal mags (.22lr). If anybody's interested - let me know. All three for 79.93 + 7.76 + postage or pickup in Dublin. If somebody wanted less than 3 - do the math ;).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,805 ✭✭✭juice1304

I'll take them off you. Please.:D I am in north county Dublin

Update: the order has been shipped and is handled by DHL. The mags will hopefully be in Dublin this week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 240 ✭✭damanloox

Another update: shipment on route to the customer - according to DHL.
If they're here before noon - I'll post your mags today. If not - it'll have to wait till Monday...

@juice1304 - do you want theose 3 metal 5-shot mags? Send me a PM if you do.

OK. Another update. I had a look at DHL tracking system and... the package has been delivered... to the wrong address. I called DHL and the driver is going back to collect (from the address he left it at) and to deliver to the correct address. They assured me they will deliver it this afternoon...
Funny thing (scary funny) is that the driver has delivered to the wrong address and the recipient actually signed for it (although both the address and name were completely different). I need to rethink using DHL for my post...
Unfortunately I won't be able to post it today, sorry... I'll post the mags first thing in the morning on Monday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 240 ✭✭damanloox

    OK - it's official ;-)
Mags have finally arrived. Everything as ordered. I'll be sending them Monday morning.
Those who did not send postal address - please do so.
