Doesnt seem to be working for me.

Just ordered one there. Code worked fine - €10 was all I had to pay.
I setup an account for this the last time this offer was on, but never actually ordered one and have since cancelled that account. So in order to get this offer I had to use a different email address.

    Thanks OP

Code "3CANVASIE" still works so I've heard... ahem >_>

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46 Hulahoop2009

Ok, Ive been using new email accounts. Are ye using the UK site or Irish one? The 3CANVASIE told me I wasnt eligible from teh begining the 3CANVAS works but the cost of postage is £18.

    Guys,
Isn't 30cm less than a foot? So, this would be a very small canvas?

Terrible site. Tried creating a canvas. Went through ok. Upload it and is said that it was too poor an image. Tried a different one, same thing. They are not too poor an image as they are professional photos and massive in size!

I ordered a couple off them before and they never arrived. When I contacted them they just told me tough. I never got my money back.

How did you pay? Credit card? Why didn't you have your bank do a charge-back?

paypal. im sure they would have been the same with cc.
they supplied proof of postage and won the case.
normally if something doesnt arrive a company will swallow the loss and send you it again. not these guys. avoid artscow.

The plot thickens. If they supplied proof of postage then maybe they genuinely thought it was delivered. Did you see the proof of postage?

It doesnt seem to be working :( have tried 3 times now and when i upload my picture, click to check out, the web page goes kinda blank and i cant select anything.. Is this happening to anyone else?

    I never saw anything.
    Paypal rejected my claim.
They might have thought it was delivered. It wasnt though.

I'd have gone via the bank so.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 484 ✭✭MMAGirl

I was sick of dealing with artscow and paypal.
tbh artscow are the worst company that I have ever dealt with when i have had a legitimate complaint.
I didnt think the bank would help since it was paypal who i paid to.
I have heard before that you cant do a chargeback on payments to paypal.

Simply not the case and I'm speaking from experience. Any transaction you make online with your credit card is covered for fraud.

Your bank might try to 'discourage' you but if you insist and persist it will force paypal to supply proof on behalf of the merchant that the service was not fraudulent. Paypal and their dispute resolution processes have very little legal or financial standing. Your bank and the credit card companies are the ones with the merchant banking rules.

I wont be dealing with artscow ever again though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 86 ✭✭shaneos

I have ordered many times from artscow over the years ( canvas photos, Christmas photo decorations, photo books etc.) and never had a problem. Delivery is usually 7 to 14 days after order.

My order from artscow went missing before, I contacted them and they resent it, a couple of weeks later it arrived. And a month later the original order arrived, it must have got held up somewhere!

Well if it's unstretched it's just a loose piece of canvas. Not exactly something I'd hang on a wall (or opt for instead of a stretched one). For most people, an unstretched canvas is more hassle than it's worth. :o

The quality of the instore canvas from Tesco is brutal beyond belief. I don't know anything about the ones they order in but don't waste your money on the crap they make in the shop.
