Great course, played it last year on the morning of ( I think) the Jimmy Bruen final and the place was in superb condition, a real gem of a course so something to look forward to all.

EDIT Just had a brainfart, got Portarlington confused with Portlaoise DUH

Is Portlaoise the course that starts off with 2 Par 3s

Portlaoise is an extended par 3 and very young. Not in same league.

Put my name down, looking forward to it, never played there before but it looks like a nice course from Kevin's photos and his review in hooked. Hopefully the weather will have come around a bit by then

for non members of the society its €10 extra.
    Non Members / Visitors Section
    • Non-members pay cost of course + €10 at each event

    • They are entitled to win visitors prize, nearest the pin, longest drive, 2's club but must collect the prize at the following outing or get it collected, otherwise this is forfeit

    • They are not entitled to enter GOTY, Captains Prize and are not eligible for selection to the Ryder Jug

    • Non-members can become members by paying the €30 less anything they have paid over the members price at outings? ie. if members paid €30 and non members paid €35 at Thurles, non-members can join for paying an additional €25 at the next outing

I was up there myself last Thursday, was the only person on the course all morning, was soaked by the time I finished :) really enjoyed it though, great course. Hopefully it will be both dryer and warmer in Portarlington.

was thinking the same but won't get near the place before the event! Earliest i could get there would be 5:30 in the evening.

Played there a couple of weeks ago, great course but unfortunately the greens had been pole forked. Hope the recent rain has encouraged them to sand the greens.

I play here a few times a year and I'm sure the Boardsies will really enjoy it :D

Holes 14 to 18 can be real card wreckers....

Lots of fallers this week. Someone could pick up handy GOTY points. If Ricky makes it back to back wins it'll be hard catch him!
